Early Christmas present for Eric.

Engine rebuild by Brett Sims and a massive rewire by Ian Collings and team ready for a programmable ECU to be fitted and mapped by Mike Longman..

You can see the results from the dyno runs as a before and after comparing the engine from earlier this year to this. Power is up from 138.7 BHP at the wheels (170 at the flywheel) to 145.2 BHP (180 at the flywheel), so a good increase in power. What's more impressive is the increase in torque through the mid range which will help us pulling out of slower corners.

All of this from a full 'works spec' GPA 1.9 engine.

We have also been tinkering with fuels and have tested and mapped the engine with both 99 RON pump fuel and Sustain Racing C50 race fuel which is 102 RON. A slight increase in power and torque from the Sustain fuel, but quite a big reduction in fuel consumption and of course, it's a sustainable fuel.

To cheer you up on what promises to be a dreary weekend, we present the video of our last rally of 2025, the Forest Of Dean Motor Club Wyedean Rally. We had a good run despite Eric having another go and we've been getting quicker all year and finished 47th of the 90 starters.
This was the last round of the Pirelli Welsh Rally Championship and the ANWCC Forest Championship in which we ended up Class C champions - so a great end to the season.
Veera even enjoyed it, but she enjoyed the spa break we had straight after the event more.
Thanks as ever go to Ian Collings and Nelson Dinis for looking after Eric.

Our latest video to keep you amused over the weekend as we take to the forests on the Trackrod Rally Yorkshire and chase podium positions in the final round of The British Historic Rally Championship We have learned a lot and definitely got faster during the year so far.
