A Gallipoli inspired ANZAC X1 narrowly defeated England in the annual Ashes match last Sunday at Chiswick. NZ batters scored 60% of the runs for both sides. Tappers are following the ECB lead by scouting increasingly local talent from the shaky isles.
Poor Seb had bad a Achilles accident bowling and we can hope he can back fit and healthy for next years fixture.
Bobby did a great job explaining the importance of the Joe Evans cup after the match and we had a beer in his memory. We miss you Joe.

A wonderful game today for the Joe Evans cup between a Gallipoli inspired Anzac X1 beating Her Majesty’s finest with an over to spare. Joseph Turner with his first senior wicket was very chuffed and the fielding of master(s) Fleetwood, Speight and Brittain was top notch as well.
