The League is looking for at least one responsible person to attend and oversee League activities on any particular day. This person/s would be responsible for ensuring the all on the day preparation and application and conclusion are completed in order for the activity to take place safely and successfully.

In the most part this will be attending on a Saturday morning for in season League, Cup and Plate games. The role would also extend to tournaments and trials organised by the League.

In the past this function has been taken care of by no more than one or two people for the entire season. Typically every Saturday morning this has meant at least one person being at the park from c. 7.30 am until c. 1.00 pm. This is unsustainable for the long term existence and success of the League.

For the 26/27 season this would be one person with the option for other volunteers to support in the role as “Assistant Game Day Supervisor”.

The “Supervisors” would work together to agree a rota to help ensure that the responsibilities were shared throughout the year. This would include all “Supervisors” being able to opt to be there for a full session or part of a session. This would allow for less regular commitment to being at the park every Saturday morning or other League activity.

Team managers could volunteer for any “Supervisor” role.

Only the “Game Day Supervisor” would have a position on the League Committee. Any such role would run for 12 months from the date of the A.G.M.

Saturday was a landmark day for New Malden Little League. For the first time ever, we hosted the Under 11’s Inter‑League Tournament — and our players rose to the occasion in incredible style.

After a full day of competitive football, teamwork, and determination, New Malden’s U11s went all the way and won the Inter‑League Tournament, securing the club’s first tournament victory in around 15 years. To lift the trophy on home soil, in our debut year as hosts, made the achievement even more special.

What makes this victory truly legendary is the massive hurdle the team had to overcome. Due to strict tournament rules regarding squad depth, our 8-player squad was hit with a major handicap: we were forced to play the first half of our matches with just 6 players on the pitch instead of 7.

Showing unbelievable grit, tactical discipline, and work ethic, the team didn't just survive those shorthanded first halves—they conquered them.
The standard of football across all leagues was fantastic, and the atmosphere around the pitches was buzzing from start to finish. But the story of the day belonged to New Malden: organised at the back, relentless in midfield, and clinical when it mattered most.

A huge thank you to all coaches, referees, parents, and volunteers who helped run our first hosted Inter‑League Tournament so smoothly. And of course, congratulations to our Under 11 players — you’ve made history, defied the odds, and made the whole club proud.
