🏃‍♀️ Overton 5 - HRRL Race 2 🏃‍♂️

Another fantastic day out for WRC at the Overton 5! 🙌

31 Wi******er Running Club runners took on the five-mile race, and as coaches, it was brilliant to see the team out there supporting each other, racing hard and enjoying being part of the club.

There were some fantastic individual performances, including Matt Port taking 2nd overall, alongside an impressive 9 age-group podiums across the field. 🏆👏

We’re incredibly proud of the team spirit, commitment and support shown by everyone on the day.

A huge thank you to everyone at Bellahouston Road Runners Bellahouston Road Runners for inviting Nick along to spend the day with you. What real pleasure to work with such a welcoming, enthusiastic group of runners!

From the morning training session through to the afternoon coaching talks, it was fantastic to see everyone so engaged, asking great questions and keen to learn. Hopefully everyone came away with some practical tips and ideas to help them get the most from their training...

It was a brilliant day, and great to meet everyone. We hope to see you all again in the future. 🏃💜

A comfortable win in the 3000m and a huge new PB of 8:49...taking over a minute off his previous best. A brilliant reward for all the consistent hard work that's been going in. 💪🔥

Huge congratulations to Ewan and Casper on their fantastic performances at the Track & Field National Championships in Bedford this weekend! 👏

Casper produced a brilliant run in the 3,000m, finishing 5th in an incredibly competitive field.

Ewan also raced superbly in the 800m, securing 7th place in the national final against some of the country's very best young athletes.

We're incredibly proud to be part of their journey and to support them with their training. Their hard work and commitment continue to pay off, and we can't wait to see what's next.

Strong performances from two of athletes at Saturday's - Helen and Matt...

Helen made an impressive return to racing with a superb 17:01 in her first 5000m since having her baby, while Matt kicked off his track season following the London Marathon with a sharp 15:08.
A great start, with plenty more to come from both.
