This is something we keep telling players and parents: an academy place is an opportunity—not a final verdict on your potential.

Missing out on selection doesn’t mean you’ve reached your ceiling. Being selected doesn’t mean your development is done.

Keep playing. Enjoy your rugby. Understand what you need to improve. Have a plan and keep working at it.

There is more than one route. What matters is that you keep developing.

-----I'm Sam. I PLAY elite rugby academy. My name is Sam and I play for saracens amateurs. So last couple days have been very intense, very hard working. Coaches are pushing us a lot. Struggled on the first day I was really tired. It's been a lot of like learning new skills, kicking and passing. It's been really intense, really. They teach us like the basics first and then we move on to like quick hands so we can like, adapt it to our game situations. So like rugby's quite like a strong passion I have, so I work hard towards it. I really like to show off my talents in rugby most of the time, and it's like one of my main hobbies. So yeah, I love it.

An amazing day and the perfect way to finish off our 2025/26 season.

We bid farewell and good luck to our ERA Graduates with the words that have defined our programme: great people make great players. Go forth into the world and be the best versions of you, keep getting up off the floor when life hits you hard and never EVER give up.

You got this, we believe in you… and remember: you are FAMILY.

To ALL our current and new players in the programme…. The 2026/27 season is upon us! Get ready to work harder than you’ve ever worked before, set standards that you’ve never set before and most importantly: show the world, show your family and above all: show YOURSELF exactly who you are.
