We are Michaela and John, two friends that are crazy about Balboa, passionate about spreading this wonderful dance and thrilled to be teaching together in the centre of London. Our classes happen every Wednesday downstairs at The Centre Page, moments walk from St. Paul's tube station and in view of the river. We teach a Level 1 class at 7:30pm, a Level 2 class at 8:30pm and social dance after clas
s until 11:00pm. Level 1 classes run in a monthly cycle, with each week building on the material learnt in the previous weeks. Absolute beginners will therefore find it easier to start on the first week of a cycle, when we assume no prior knowledge at all. However, you are very welcome to start at any time - it will just become more challenging as the cycle progresses! Class cycles begin on the last Wednesday of each month. Once you have done a few classes you will find it easier to drop in at any point during the month. Level 2 classes are aimed at those who are already comfortable with the fundamentals of Balboa and Bal-Swing. If you have already danced Balboa and would like to attend this class, you should be comfortable with throw-outs, out-and-ins, transitions and core pure Balboa moves. Our first class will be on Wednesday 29th March 2017. Our class is a very relaxed and supportive learning environment - for your first class, you need only bring yourself, comfortable clothing and preferably non rubber-soled shoes.
