WESTS WARRIORS ARE INAUGURAL NCS CHAMPIONS.🏆

Wests crossed for six tries, with Judd Greenhalgh grabbing a Grand Final double, alongside tries from Jack Payne, Tamati Gribble, Ilies Macani and Jarome Yates.

Bailey Simpson kept the scoreboard moving with four goals from five attempts, while Paul McCullagh was unsuccessful with his one attempt.

But the result was about far more than the points and was built on the defensive efforts, carries, tackles and sacrifices from all 17 men and from an entire squad who contributed throughout a long season.

Hammersmith got off to a flying start taking a 12-0 point lead and kept fighting but when the game demanded another effort the Warriors continued to dig deep for one another and refused to let three years of hurt end the same way again.

A tough, hard-fought semi-final win in hot conditions sees us book our place in the Grand Final.

Bedford pushed us all the way, but the boys dug deep, stayed in the fight and got the job done when it mattered.
