Track bikes are machines for riding in its most barebones form. They're designed for pure function without any unneccesary fuss. Maximum speed and efficiency are the goal but the clean lines and uncluttered silhoutte lend themselves well to handsome builds.
This bike features a painted carbon fibre seat tube with a handmade steel topper, a carbon fork with drilling for a front brake which is used with a clamp-on lever to go from the boards to the streets in seconds.

Built for London city riding Rich didn't need multiple gears but did want his bike to be reliable and require minimum maintenance. Belt drive and single speed was perfect for his use case. The frame splits apart on the seat stay to allow access for changing the belt when it eventually needs swapping after many thousands of miles. We stuck with rim brakes and tubeless tyres to maximise the fit-and-forget nature of the bike. The entire bike can therefore be taken apart and reassembled with little more than a set of hex keys and a tyre lever.

Our Full Custom service offers the opportunity to create a truly unique bicycle, perfectly suited to your personal riding environment and style. It enables us to build a bike with combinations of components not otherwise available on the market.
This build from last year is a prime example, with clearance for 45mm gravel tyres, it combines front passive suspension from both the Lauf fork and a Redshift stem for excellent offroad shock absorbtion whilst staying lightweight, with a belt driven Rohloff gear system, and modified Sram shifting to work seamlessly with next to no maintenance. Not to mention the striking sunrise paint scheme.

Made from a Columbus XCR tube set, fillet brazed with silver and for weight and comfort we used our signature carbon ISP.
We had a carbon tube custom made especially for the head tube, holding a high tolerance to the 44mm inner diameter of the XCR head tube. The construction follows the same method as the seat tube; the frame is first constructed in its entirety with stainless steel tubes. Once we have confirmed the frame's alignment, the seat tube and head tube are cut away and the carbon tubes are bonded into the frame with a high strength adhesive epoxy.
The ISP topper is 3D printed in titanium.

Fuad’s frame was designed using some of the finest materials we offer at Saffron. We used a mixture of stainless steel and carbon fiber to create Fuad’s forever bike. The headtube, downtube, and toptube are made using Columbus XCR stainless steel. We used KVA S-bend stainless steel chain and seat-stays alongside the Columbus Futura Gravel Fork to allow for extra tire clearance, thus increasing the versatility of the frame. We spec’d our carbon fiber ISP to keep the weight to a minimum in a bid to help Fuad up the steep climbs Kuala Lumpur is known for.

A modern classic, the Virtue features timeless design with round Columbus XCr stainless steel tubes seamlessly joined together with silver fillet brazed joints. With its familiar, classic lines and unparalleled stainless steel ride quality, it's designed for a smooth, confidence-inspiring ride, all-day comfort and endurance with efficiency.

Designed to put the rider in a fast position that they can maintain all day, we've made the Virtue to be the most comfortable road bike possible without surrendering speed. Designed for longer days in the saddle and fast summer rides alike, with predictable handling and lively feel, it's fast and fun, all day long.

Frame Details:
The frame is stainless steel throughout with Columbus' highest grade XCr tubing, CNC machined dropouts and T47 threaded bottom bracket shell. The seat stays hide the integrated seatpost clamp and are bridged by a Saffron logo bridge, flipped to curve over the rear tyre. Paired with an ENVE carbon fork and Chris King headset, the bike features clearance for 32mm tyres.

I’ve come to understand the precise chemistry of silver brazing, the physics of heat distribution, and the artistry of shaping seamless joints by hand. It’s a process that demands patience, precision, and countless hours at the bench—but the result is a frame that’s as strong as it is beautiful.

For me, brazing is more than a technique; it’s a form of meditation. Each joint is hand-filed and sanded to perfection, creating transitions that are both functional and artistic.

As well as full custom, we also have a range of frame models, all still with custom geometry for every rider but with a selection of tubing and features for different riding styles.
The Virtue is an all stainless steel road frame which uses pinnacle materials for the ultimate riding experience. It is fast and fun but comfortable by design, for all day riding whether it's for a fast club run, long audaxes or your morning spin before work. The Virtue is smiles for miles.
