⢠In the first track event, the 400m hurdles, it was great to welcome a NAL debut in the 400m hurdles, Louisa Snape 5th in the A string 67.35, Louisa also went to on run a great opening leg for the 4x400m team. It was also nice Aisha Naibe-Wey back to the team, she gave her all to finish 4th in 65.81
⢠In the middle distance it was a double win (800m/1500m) from Charlotte Buckley. Natasha Bennett fought all the way to the line for a great 2nd place in the B string 800m. Lara Sterritt ensured the team scored maximum points in the 1500m and was always well placed in the race coming home with a win in the B string (3rd overall).
⢠Taking on the 100m/200m and sprint relay were the reliable due Elise Modeste and Akaysha Ellis. Into a -2.3 wind Elise ran a fast 12.03 for 4th in the A string and 3rd in the B string 200m 24.62. Akaysha took two brilliant 2nd place finishes (B string 100m and A string 200m).
⢠It was a clean sweep of victories and maximum points for TVH in the 400m. In a well paced race Louise Evans looked strong to win the A string in 53.52. Catherine Reynolds also timed her race perfectly to win the B string in 55.88.
⢠The steeplechase had two TVH NAL debutants who both smashed TVH club records. World age group record holder, Kirstie Booth, set a new TVH V45 club record record with 11:13.43 and Ana Derbaix Esteve set a new TVH U20 club record and PB in 11:18.85. Tash Mundell also had a brilliant run to score maximum points in the B string with a PB of 12:08, Tash helped the team score maximum officiating points and always a very supportive SAL team manager.
⢠In a very hot 5000m race, Izzy Franco ran away from the field on the first lap and stormed to a 30s victory with a strong 17:25.18. V40 Lisa da Silva added to the points collection with a 4th place finish in the B string in 19:26, just 10 seconds shy of 2nd.
⢠After a strong 3rd place in the non-scoring 100m, Patricia Grud-Edmondson ran a brilliant 1st leg in the 4x100m, the team (Patricia, Louise, Akaysha and Elise) did well to take 5th
