HOOP SIZE GUIDE: Choosing a hoop that's perfect for you will depend on your size and ability. The measurement given for our hoops is the diameter in inches. As a rule the smaller a hoop is the faster it spins, the large the hoop the slower it will spin. A larger hoop is much more forgiving, and would be recommended for a beginner as it will give you more time to think between moves, so you'll be more likely to succeed with new tricks. Hoops come in two thicknesses: 22mm- recommended for tricks and hoop-dance 25mm- recommended for fitness hooping One method of measuring your hoop size as a beginner is to stand straight feet together... and measure from the floor to just above your navel. This measurement may seem quite big especially if you are tall, but adult hoops are much larger than the flimsy kids hoops you may be used to seeing, so don't worry. Alternatively a rough size guide for beginners is : 40" - average height 42" - tall (close to 6ft) 38" - petite Sizes Range from 34"-44"
