Manchester City have agreed a deal with Everton for Spurs target Iliman Ndiaye and have booked the forward in for his medical. City have offered higher wages and a more desirable package to Everton. His move to Tottenham is now officially OFF. ❌
The delay was caused by Tottenham, who wanted Richarlison’s move to Everton to form part of the deal in order to reduce the upfront fee and the amount the club would need to amortise.
Everton wanted the deals kept separate so they could maximise the revenue from Ndiaye’s sale. That’s clear from the fact their attention has now turned to City winger Jack Grealish. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the two deals will remain completely separate, allowing Everton to balance their books.
Everton made multiple contract offers to Iliman Ndiaye, who refused to entertain an extension at the club.
This would also explain Richarlison’s post about having his future decided for him. Yet again, Spurs have fumbled a deal over figures instead of just getting the player over the line. 🤦🏻♂️
This is merely my opinion based on my own research and investigation, but all evidence suggests this to be the reason as to why Spurs once again struggled to complete a deal.
