The Sivananda Yoga Centre will be sharing two yoga classes at the World Yoga Festival in Henley on Thames.

Inner Expansion with Swami Nityananda
Stretch and Breathe
Sun Salutation and Pranayama for all levels
Breath is life. Breathe better, live better.
Gaining control of the breath by practising pranayama connects the body to its ‘battery’: the solar plexus. An enormous amount of energy is stored there. By becoming aware of our breathing and taking deep breaths, we can tap into these energy stores and recharge body and mind. Pranayama trains the respiratory muscles, strengthens the nervous system, calms the mind, and improves concentration and sleep.
Sunday 2 August at 2pm
Relax & Recharge with Swami Nityananda
Let go and connect within
Asanas, deep relaxation & meditation
Join us for a gentle yoga class in the Sivananda tradition. Following a short pranayama session, the class will move into classical hatha yoga postures with emphasis on breath and relaxation. Mindful effort in the postures paves the way to profound release and deep relaxation afterwards.
At the end of the yoga session, the process of rest and repair is felt in every cell. The body and mind are brought to a state of complete stillness. The practitioner dissolves into a state of oneness, moving beyond the body and mind to experience profound rest and inner peace.
