Every week, children arrive ready to play. This project makes sure the space is ready for them. We use basketball to create a positive, structured and safe environment where children can learn, play, build confidence, make friends and feel like they belong.

For the children who walk through the door each week, this is their space. We want to make sure it is as safe and welcoming as possible.

At this age, children are still learning how to control their movements, react to different situations and build confidence in competitive environments.

That’s why our sessions include reaction-based games, movement challenges, sprint and change-of-direction activities, decision-making drills, and fun competitions that encourage effort and teamwork.

Why do we aim to be much more than a basketball Clube? Here is why. 🫶

We experienced how much our lives had changed from basketball, and we want to do the same for future generations. Basketball is the tool, growth will always be the main goal.

Our why and main purpose. ✨
Offer children a place where they can feel at home.
Where they can develop themselves as human beings.

What happened in May at LCB:

We have been part of the Youth Enrichment & Activities Exhibition at Oasis St Martins – The Village
connecting young people and families with different opportunities, activities, support services and community organisations in the local area. ✔️

We gathered the club for our second trip. This time to Super League Finals at O2 - the premier professional league in the UK. ✔️

Some of our children had the chance to be at Hoopsfix U12 Clinic led by Leia Edwards & Flynn Boardman-Raffet, a exciting and fun event with two of the biggest players in the UK. ✔️

was invited to be the U13 London Region Head Coach, a major recognition for all the work he has been putting into basketball coaching development. ✔️

Coach .57 was also appointed Head Coach for the Lambeth Boys Team at the London Youth Games. The boys did really well, winning all their group games and making it through the quarter-finals. ✔️

Ade Adebayo .ad7 a professional player currently playing in Spain, joined one of our sessions to inspire the youngest generation. What a moment for them. ✔️

June is around the corner, and we can’t wait to tell you all we have planned 🫶

At this age, our sessions focus on helping children build confidence, improve coordination, and have fun through games and activities.

Children get to move, develop physical skills, learn about teamwork, and start to enjoy being active. We make sure everyone feels safe, supported, and has fun, so each child can learn, play, and grow at their own speed.

🏀 Warm-up games
We begin with fun movement activities that help children feel comfortable, get moving, and get excited for the session.

🏀 Physical literacy activities
Children build coordination, balance, agility, and confidence by playing movement games and taking on simple challenges.

🏀 Basketball skill development
We teach important basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting in ways that are easy to understand and fun.

🏀 Team games & challenges
Children practice teamwork, communication, and making decisions by playing small games and friendly competitions.

🏀 Cool down & reflection
We end each session by celebrating effort, positivity, and confidence. This helps children leave feeling proud of what they’ve done.

At this age, the goal isn’t pressure or perfection.
Our goal is to help children enjoy moving, build confidence, and develop a positive attitude toward sports.
