It’s Christmas. 🎅

Do not be concerned with calories, macros, scales.

Have a bit of everything.

The above chart shows my former client Joyce’s weight loss journey over 4 months. The red line shows ‘holiday’ periods where she didn’t measure or track. The weight on the scales goes up, but notice where the green lines point how the weight went then immediately goes down quite rapidly after she was back on the programme?

It’s the long term trend that matters over 3-4 months and beyond, not what happens over 3-4 days. You are unlikely to put on any excessive amount of fat over such a short period of time. It’s more likely that it is water weight, which is why it comes off again so rapidly once you’re back in a calorie deficit.

If you’re mid way through a weight loss phase, then use this Christmas period as a mini break to reduce any diet fatigue and allow you to keep going for longer.
As with holidays, that doesn’t have to mean you go completely mental with food intake, you can still have balance and enjoy a bit of everything over this period.

Enjoy your food, enjoy the drink, enjoy the occasion.

Here is a snapshot of some of the topics that will be included. I don’t intend to hold anything back. Everything in it is what I coach my 1-1 clients.

My way of hopefully reaching more people to help them lose weight healthily and sustainably.

It can’t replace 1-1 coaching. You get far more depth, nuance and accountability from 1-1 coaching, which undoubtedly makes a difference.

But it can give you all the knowledge required and a framework to work off, which I hope means you have every success.

Here you can see she took a pause/maintenance period over Xmas and New Year and then continued with her calorie deficit through to the end of the programme.

1. Calorie Deficit
2. Protein
3. Training

Then you would shortly be coming to the end of your 3 months calorie deficit phase, ready to go into a maintenance phase over the December and the Xmas period.

If you didn’t start back in September, then not to worry, you’ve still got a month to get ahead of the game until Xmas and the New Year.
