My heart is in Nepal right now. ❤️

The floods are devastating communities across the country, with more than 22,000 children now in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.

I can’t stop thinking about Raksha Nepal Menooka Thapa They’re at the heart of Raksha Girls, and they’ve told us they’re now taking in children who have lost their families and opening their doors to more children when their resources are already stretched.

These aren’t people we know from a distance. We’ve sat with them. We’ve laughed with them. We’ve listened to their stories. We’ve boxed together. And in a few weeks, we’re going back.

I don’t know exactly what we’ll be able to do when we get there, but HEADGUARD will help wherever we can.

Right now I’m just thinking about the children whose lives have changed overnight, and the incredible people at Raksha Nepal who are making space for them when they need somewhere safe to go.

The world can be unbearably cruel. And then you see people step forward for others, and it reminds you how much humanity there still is. ❤️

My new skill ….. CEMENT KNOCKER UPERER 😜

We’re laying our patio now after digging up the whole garden and flattening it. I need to get involved so our mate Liam (who is laying the slabs), taught me how to mix and make cement and we became a great team over the weekend 💪🏻.

40 slabs done, 160 to go…… that’s my Thursday to Tuesday sorted.

I’m covered in cement as maybe a lot of it went on me too, so looking a bit grey and dirty 😂.

TODAY’S WIN WAS MORE THAN A COURT RESULT.

I’ve had people let me down most of my life. People who say they’re going to do something, repeat it over and over again, make promises, give reassurances and sometimes give you information that simply isn’t true.

You’d think by now I would have learnt.

Being adopted plays a large part in it. There’s always been something in me that wants to believe people, to trust what they say and give them another chance. But when it happens repeatedly, it makes you sceptical. It makes you guarded and it makes trusting people harder.

Today I took something to court. And I won.

I didn’t particularly enjoy doing it, and it’s been a long, hard and draining journey to get here. I would much rather people simply did what they said they were going to do in the first place.

But today was validating.

It confirmed that I wasn’t expecting too much. I wasn’t being unreasonable. My intuition was right, my instinct was right, and I should have trusted both much sooner.

And today also reminded me that not everyone is just words.

Someone really showed up for me today. No false promises, no endless talking about what they were going to do. They simply helped when I needed it, and that meant more than they probably realise.

That’s the difference. Words can sound good. Actions are what build trust.

And that’s the lesson I will take forward.

When somebody repeatedly shows me that their words and actions don’t match, I need to stop finding reasons to give them another chance. Stop accepting false promises. Stop questioning whether I’m asking too much.

I’m not.

I need to get much better at believing what people show me, rather than what they keep telling me.

A DAY IN THE FIELDS

I’ve got nothing but respect for our British farmers.

They don’t ask for much. They work in all weathers to produce some of the highest-quality food in the world, put food on our tables, protect the countryside we all love, and keep Britain fed.

Backing British farming isn’t just about supporting farmers. It’s about protecting our food security, our economy, our rural communities, and the landscapes that make Britain what it is. Once farms are gone, we don’t just lose businesses—we lose skills, jobs, wildlife habitats, and a way of life that has shaped this country for generations.

I just wish the The Labour Party Government stood behind British farmers as much as our farmers stand behind Britain.

25 YEARS Third Space !!!

What a journey I have had: the experiences, the stories, the incredible people I have met, the growth and change I’ve been part of, have been an important part of my personal growth.

Thank you Third Space for allowing me to be me, to be individual and allowing my passion for everything I do be supported.

The evolution of HEADGUARD has happened because of this support! And HeadGuard means everything to me!

I would say here’s to another 25, but I’m a bit older than I look 😜🤣.

LIVING THE DREAM……. involves A LOT of hard work.

But, I absolutely love it! Garden totally dismantled now, ready for the rebuild.

If you want something strong enough, you have to put in the hard work, consistently!

Move over Garden Rescue Official there’s a new girl in town 🤣😂. Actually would love Charlie to come and help as I’m actually pants with plants.

Nima runs an array of amazing restaurants in Soho Forty Dean Street and is a huge character of Soho! His recipe book is lovely with great home cooked Italian food recipes.

WHAT AN EXCITING WEEK

8 tonne digger, BobCat, Tractor, tonnes of soil….. classic chin ups on the scaffolding, all in my garden.

What I love about the whole renovation of my cottage is that I’m 100% hands on. So, I’m a huge part of the process, so when I walk around my home, I’m like a proud peacock. WE DID THIS!!

My hands have never been so dirty, battered and bleeding. I’ve had mud and paint coming out of every or***ce 🤣.

It’s been mega stressful BUT I’ve loved the process. Can’t wait to get the garden finished, so I can sit with a glass of w**e or two and be a peacock in our own little sanctuary.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

Life has hurt me in many ways: adoption, abuse, loss, relationships, injuries, mental battles.

There were times I was completely broken and hit rock bottom.

But life has also taught me that painful experiences don’t have to turn you into a hard or bitter person.

You can still be kind to others and yourself after bad things happen to you. You can still love and be loved. Still find purpose and build a life you’re proud of.

Your experiences shape you, but they do not define your worth.

You choose who you become.

Life has hurt me in many ways, but it also shaped me into someone I’m genuinely proud to be today.
