🚨New British Record🚨

Congratulations to Peter Giles on his new British Record for the V80 3000m! Peter completed the race in 13:29.02, setting a new PB and breaking his own previous record of 13:30.78 at the Bob Lewis Memorial Meeting!
This is an incredible achievement, great work Peter!

A huge congratulations to Maya on her first Heptathlon!

Maya competed in her first ever Heptathlon at the Surrey County Combined Events Championships over the past weekend! She performed incredibly well bringing home a total of 3641 points, PB’s in 5 events and the U16 Girls championship title!

Mayas points came from:
80m Hurdles 14.56s PB (498)
High Jump 1.41m PB (523)
Shot Put 7.29m PB (366)
150m 21.13s PB (614)
Long Jump 4.99m (557)
Javelin 17.68m (246)
600m 1:38.82 PB (837)

Momentum Track Club took several teams to the Surrey Relays on Sunday!

The first team on track was the U14 girls 4x100 who passed the baton round in a time of 59.63s.

Our first medal winning team of the day was the U16 girls 4x100 formed of Aurelia, Daisy, Chloe and Alicia who placed 2nd in a time of 49.27s!

This was shortly followed by the U14 boys 4x100 who finished the race in 56.83s.

TheU16 boys Vincent, Leo, Amish and Jacob, also in the 4x100, then ran 48.84s.

Our U18 boys Ryan, Charlie, Louis and Basit brought home the first gold medal of the day in 44.66s!

The senior women were next on track and also ran well. Bella, Maddie, Zoe and Lily collected another medal silver for the club, finishing the 4x100 in 51.12s. Our masters athletes competed in the senior mens 4x100 with Richard, Tom, Pat and James finishing in 50.02!

Rebecca, Bella, Kira and Lily tackled the 4x400m, bringing home a gold in the senior womens race in 4:04.17!

The final team of the day to race was the 4x400m senior men, Joshua, Charlie, Richard and Tim successfully completed the race in 3:43.13 and finished with another silver medal.

MTC finished the day with 3 silver and 2 gold medal winning teams! Well done to everyone who came along to take part 👏
