Here's a good course for Northern roller skiers -

There are still spaces in the Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate groups on the Snowsport England skills course at Lancaster on September 19 & 20th 2026

Learn a new sport or polish your skills ready for winter, you'll be doing both Classic and Skate style during this 2 day event.

The event will be on the Salt Ayre Cycle Circuit in Lancaster, traffic free and a great place to learn.

British Biathlon Laser Series 2026 Schedule! 🇬🇧🗓️

While we’re still mourning the end of the winter season, the summer is right around the corner bringing sun, longer days, and more importantly, the British Biathlon Union Laser Series 2026!

A bumper 4 events spread over the next 6 months covering the country all kicking off in Swindon on the 16th-17th May, and ending with the British Championships at Redbridge in London in October!

Tickets are now live on the British Biathlon website for the 2026 series, and last year saw was some really fun, competitive, and inclusive days for biathlon fans and newcomers alike!

Opening new pathways into Nordic skiing!

‘Pavement to Piste’ is a brand-new initiative from Snowsport Scotland and Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre working with local partners to make Nordic skiing more accessible than ever.

From roller-skiing on local paths to cross-country skiing on snow, we’re building a clear, supported pathway into the sport.

Now delivering outreach programmes across Aberdeenshire and Moray, including dedicated sessions for care-experienced children, the project is:

✅ Driving inclusion
✅ Boosting health & wellbeing
✅ Creating sustainable growth in Nordic snowsport

If you (or your kids) are aged 11-15 and have been inspired by the Winter Olympics, you can come and try roller skiing for £1 this Saturday, 21st February in Hyde Park. Then if you enjoy it, you can join our club, the London Cross-Country Ski Club.
