Hello. I’m a Personal Trainer who, through a combination of injury and too many mince pies over the Christmas period, has fallen out of shape. It’s time I went back to practicing what I preach. From now and into the New Year I’m going to be doing a daily blog chronicling my story from fat to fit.
Tomorrow is the first day of my New Year Cut. I’m going to be doing a Push, Pull, Legs (PPL) training split.
I’ll be looking to lose body fat while trying to maintain as much muscle as possible and will therefore be in a calorie deficit on the following macros:
Calories – 2400
Protein – 180g
Carbs – 180g
Fat – 110g
In terms of Cardio, I won’t be following a strict programme. To lose body fat I will be mainly relying on nutrition but will incorporate some steady state cardio from time to time e.g. to offset the extra calories of a night out.
