Congratulations to the Essex 12U boys who have won County Cup Group 1A and have qualified for the National Finals! 🥇

Jake, Noah, Oliver, Frankie and Harry (not pictured) captained by Pete Richmond defeated Cambridgeshire, Avon and Hertfordshire to seal their place alongside our 12U girls at Nottingham in two weeks 💥

Fantastic effort from everybody. Bring on the finals!

The 12 Counties Championships season kicked off today at Corby Tennis Centre with the Essex 16U teams in action in Division 1 💥

The girls team of Florence, Ingrid, Srida & Lillia captained by Ellison Fisk secured second place with a 3-1 win over Cambridgeshire, a 4-0 win over Buckinghamshire but a 1-3 loss versus a strong Middlesex side 🥈

The boys team of Toby, Gautam, Finlay and Ethan captained by Darren Adams competed well to take Cambridgeshire to a 2-2 draw, but went down 1-3 in some close matches to Middlesex and Buckinghamshire to finish 4th.

Well done all!

A brilliant week at the Essex Closed, held at Westcliff Lawn Tennis Club!

A big effort from all the players from 8U all the way through to the Open age groups and a huge well done to all our winners and finalists 🔥👏

Thank you to Steve Wynn, our referee for the week, and all the on-court volunteers who helped the matches run smoothly. Thanks also to the helpers behind the bar and in the kitchen who supplied everyone with amazing food and drink, and a big thank you to our sponsors for their generosity.

We are delighted to let you know that nominations for the LTA Awards 2026/27 are open and will close at the end of November 2026.

Last year, Essex achieved its highest ever number of nominations. Let’s build on that success and raise the bar once again by recognising the outstanding people who make a difference in our venues and communities.

The LTA Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the volunteers, coaches, officials, and organisers who go above and beyond to grow and support tennis. Taking the time to nominate someone is a meaningful way to acknowledge their dedication and the positive impact they have on others.

If there is someone at your venue whose contribution deserves recognition, we strongly encourage you to put them forward
