Meet Our Mascot - Gigi the Dinosaur

Every great club has a great mascot. Meet ours — Gigi the Dinosaur 🦖

Gigi is the mascot of the Greenwich Giants. Gigi is a Giganotosaurus — slightly bigger than a T-Rex — and is at the heart of everything we do.

Our youngest players aged 4-7 play T-Rex T-Ball, which features a variety of dinosaur-themed games. Gigi made a special appearance at last Saturday's MLB PLAY BALL Weekend, where they were the star of our throwing games with the 4-7 year olds!

Gigi has a special place with the U10 and U12 teams too. Each week the "Teammate of the Week" is awarded a mini plush Gigi. The award is chosen by the previous week's winner, and goes to the person who, regardless of their performance, did the best at cheering on their teammates — being supportive, helpful, and demonstrating good sportsmanship. All the values that are important to us at the Greenwich Giants.

🌧Wet Weather Schedule - Sat 6th June

⚾With heavy rain predicted for Saturday, MLB PlayBall London is going ahead with some adjustments to our published location and schedule.

👍We’re moving indoors for the morning to the Sports Hall (David Fussey Building) on the University of Greenwich campus. Depending on the weather, we’ll move outdoors for the afternoon or continue at the sports hall. Both options are captured in our Wet Weather Plan — please take a look to see the new timings and check back here and on our website for updates.

📩Pre-registered attendees will have received an email confirming times for their sessions.

🚶‍♀️If you missed pre-registration, please only come to one of the OPEN SESSIONS in the afternoon.

Ages 4-7: 9:45-10:45am (Mixed - Free for Girls)
Ages 8-12: 11:00am-12:30pm (Mixed - Free for Girls)
Ages 12+ & adults: 12:30-2:30pm (Women & Girls - FREE!!!)
