10,000 miles. Is their degree wor WELCOME TO THE MONGOL RALLY. It’s not a race. What can go wrong?

We’re not going to be going all ‘Colin McRae’ this summer. No, three mechanical engineering students have decided to venture east this summer, all in aid of charity. The Mongol Rally is a 10,000 mile journey from London to Mongolia, which is run annually and is now in its 15th year. Over 350 teams participate each year, where the aim is to complete the journey in a ‘cheap’ vehicle where breakdowns

and problems are expected. There is no GPS, no backup support and in some places, no phone call home. ‘Mongtini Racing’ has decided to embark on this journey in a Vauxhall Agila.

Today we said goodbye to our great buddies The Legend of the Anvillians as they headed home by road. We've had a great time joining forces, and wish them the best of journeys home.

Meanwhile, we find ourselves in a karaoke bar, about to master some Robbie Williams. Wish us luck. 🍻🍻🍻

Thanks too goes to Collier & Catchpole for their support and as many relevant building goods as they could give us!

We made it!

9907 miles
3 bent wheels
10 litres of oil
And one sagging rear left corner

We've given Angie a clean with fairy liquid, a hose and a foam scourer and are hoping it's given her enough life to make it to the railhead tomorrow and her inevitable funeral in Paldinski.

Thanks to you all for your support and especially those who donated! We'll be flying back to the UK on Saturday and will no doubt have more pictures of our adventures up after then. Right now we're off to have a beer 🍻🚗🎉

Remember you can still donate!

The bad news? We snapped one of our rear suspension springs.

The good news? We are totally ignoring it.

In other news, today we visited Lake Baikal. It rained. A lot.
