Please meet & welcome Heeri! Heeri has recently joined the Pilatestar Team, after being such a hit when she covered for our core teachers. We're very excited to have her! 😆

Heeri is now teaching on Mondays 08.15 at Sydenham & Dulwich Golf Club

Heeri is a certified Body Control Pilates teacher and keen runner with 6 half marathons under her belt. Running was what drew her to Pilates! Through practicing Pilates, she has been able to minimise her injuries and recover from them quickly and stay injury free for longer periods of time. That's where her passion for Pilates cemented.

In her spare time, Heeri belongs to a book club and a Kazzo band making the most of the variety life has to offer.

I've already introduced you to the lovely Lois! But I wanted to let you know that she's now doing an extra class, so now she's teaching both:
Wednesdays 17.45 at St Stephen's Church, College Road
and
Saturdays 09.30 at Sydenham & Dulwich Golf Club.

Need a break, away from it all?!

How about a 3 night pilates getaway in Dénia, Spain?

You don't have to be a pilates fanatic to do a pilates retreat. There's more to the weekend away than just doing pilates! Whether you're a beginner or an improver, you're welcome.

This weekend is about relaxing away from your 'norm'. Having everything done for you (pretty much!). A bit of movement, fresh air, stunning views, great food, good company, time on your own to just.....breathe.

Pilates Retreat in Dénia, Spain 2-5 October 2026

Just 3 more spaces to fill!

It's only a small retreat, just for 6 people in total.

I love meeting new people, but if you're like me and worry that you're going to feel 'trapped' with people you don't know, then don't. One of the reasons I chose this villa is because there are private balconies, large back patio, side terraces, and plenty of space around the pool, so you don't have to hide away in your room - it'll be easy to find a quiet space to relax and read a book or sip a glass of wine!

And in between our pilates sessions, it's totally optional as to whether you join us to visit Dénia town / or a local market, or stay behind for some 'me time'.

This place is calming for the soul. You'll love it.

Saturday 9.30 am Pilates Class at Dulwich & Sydenham Golf Club, off College Road

You don't have to be a golf club member to join.

The photo is of our Tuesday class (it's women's day at the club, so all the women are out on the golf course and all the men are indoors doing pilates!)

However, Lois actually teaches our Saturday class.

It's warm & inclusive. All abilities & bodies are catered for and looked after, in fact you'll be encouraged to work at a level that's right for you. But that's not to say you won't be challenged, just in a fun way - not taking ourselves too seriously, the time whizzes by! The class is kept small so Lois can help you with your movements.

You'll leave feeling & walking taller. It's a great way to start the weekend!

Pilates retreat in Dénia, Spain, 2-5 October 2026

Last April we did a retreat in the same location, same villa, and here's what Jennie thought:

"What a reTREAT!
Sophie's retreat in Denia was the most wonderful experience. From the moment we were met at the airport, we were so well looked after by the seemingly tireless Sophie who provided 5 days of absolute bliss"

We started the day with some pilates before breakfast and had another session early evening before dinner. In between guests could spend the time, as they wished....sitting by the pool with a book; sipping a glass of wine on a private terrace; taking a stroll in Dénia town; visiting the beach; checking out a local market...

The villa is up in hills, overlooked by the Montgó mountain, so if you're into loud music and bars at night, then this is not the place for you 😂 but if you're seeking tranquility, there's no better place for the soul.
