We are a social cricket team based in London, with the emphasis on social! Originating at St Anne’s College, Oxford, in the mid-nineties, we were formed as a properly organised team in 2001 by our founder and inspiration, Maxie Allen. Starting out as a collection of college, work and house mates based in south-west London, we have grown over the years while never losing sight of our roots and that
we play cricket for fun. We play around 16-18 regular games a season against other social cricket teams like ourselves, at some beautiful grounds across the south-east of England. Our matches are played in a relaxed environment with everyone encouraged and the game to be enjoyed by all - not to mention some fantastic teas. As for the result … we don’t worry too much about that. Our love of cricket has also taken us further afield. Our tours have become legendary, taking us to grounds in the sunshine of Ibiza, Corfu, Benidorm, Portugal, the Dordogne and even the unlikely cricketing hotbed of Slovenia. We got back on tour once again in 2022 with a cracking tour to the south of France. We have also enjoyed domestic tours to pretty rural venues in Cornwall, Northumberland and Hampshire. Our Allstars Festival brings together the whole Allstars squad for a friendly game against one another, with families and friends joining us for the day. We're also a social club outside of cricket - over the years, our social events have included ten pin bowling, quiz nights, crazy golf, non-league football, escape rooms, footgolf, poker nights and days at the races. Our season finishes with our annual dinner in central London, joined by our other halves. We are always looking for new players who’d like to join us – ability is less important than enthusiasm and a love for the game. Even if you’ve not picked up a bat or ball for years, you’ll be made very welcome and will soon feel part of our team spirit.
