WE’RE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS HALF MARATHON! 🎄🏃
We have collaborated with RAG to bring you this amazing event! The route will take you through the most scenic parts of London; from the Royal Parks such as Primrose Hill, Regent’s and Hyde Park, to the Embankment, as well as the major must-see Christmas lights destinations including Oxford Street, Trafalgar Square Christmas Market and Covent Garden.
This is the perfect way to tick off a first half-marathon, do some sight-seeing, and raise money for RAG’s charity partners: The BayTree Centre, SANE, Safe Passage International. It’s also great value for money compared to other halves! The event is open to any LSE students and staff, so encourage your friends to sign up and give it a go! We want to accommodate anyone who is fit to run the 21.1km route, and so the group will be keeping to a 6:30min/km pace with a break-off group for anyone who wants to run faster. We will also be playing Christmas music to keep the sprits high.
After the event, we will be welcomed back on campus by RAG, where you can treat yourself to a snack and a warm drink at their bake sale!

- Time: 8:00am (sorry we know it’s early but we need to beat the crowds!)

- Dress code: Christmas-themed (jumpers, bells, antlers, tinsel… we had some Santas do the whole 21.1km last year!!)

📌100% of the cost of your ticket and profits from the bake sale will go to Raising And Giving’s charity partners: The BayTree Centre (supporting women and girls from refugee and migrant backgrounds), SANE (mental health charity) and Safe Passage International (reuniting refugee children with their families)
