The site was chosen primarily because of its sandy soil and excellent drainage, and as a result, the course is open year-round and enjoys a reputation of being playable even in the most extreme weather conditions. lub has continued to invest heavily in its main assets in recent years and has unrivalled practice facilities which include a 12 bay driving range, practice bunker, chipping areas and a large putting green, all of which are immediately in front of the Clubhouse. At a recent visit, Michael Harris, the editor of Golf Monthly said “ We are all very impressed with the course and clubhouse” and the comment “I’d really like to be a member here” was uttered a few times on the way round and the journey back home.
