Glute Growth achieved!!! In 16 weeks!!

For women especially a real target will always be growing glutes and adding some shape to the lower body!

As you can see here my client has smashed it out of the park with some real solid glute growth. Weight has stayed the same practically throughout the whole of the 16 weeks and what we have done is add muscle mass in specific areas whilst reducing body fat across the physique.

How did we do this?

- trained lower body at least x2 a week 3 if recovery allowed
- Ate more fast digesting carbs around training windows to optimise growth and replenish glycogen
- kept steps at 10-12k daily
- cardio at 20 - 30 minutes x 3 a week

This process is very simple but so effective! All you need to understand is that if you want it enough you will work through any barriers including work, social life and any other commitments.

My role as the coach is to guide you through them challenges and make the slight adjustments week on week to get you in that best shape of your life.

Physique Update : 8 weeks out

To really be successful you have to understand it isn’t about the end results it’s always about the journey.

You have to fall in love with the process because honestly if you don’t you will just quit when times get hard.

Doing something difficult teaches you more about yourself than getting something for free… you learn that with the right application and mindset literally anything is possible!

Don’t give up on what you know you want. Keep your head down and trust the process!

X Weeks out… Patience is key!

After seeing it was decided we are going to be more patient with the fat loss to try hold as much mass as possible coming into the show. So the likelihood is we are looking at a few extra weeks now.

This doesn’t bother me as I completely trust the process and his judgement.

Sometimes though we want everything in life right away and are prepared to look for the “hack” or “cheat” to get what we think will make us happy.

What you realise though is that it isn’t getting the end goal that will make you happy… it’s who you become in the process.

This is the same for work, fitness, relationships and in general life!

If you work hard for something you will understand the sky is the limit.

All the success my clients get is based around this fact. They want to make positive changes to their life… I just guide them through the process!

8 Weeks out

Mentally and physically I have had to really dig deep this week. Weight has stayed pretty much the same still hovering around the 214 mark but definitely feel tighter which is a good sign.

Im still training as hard as ever pushing myself to failure every session and I just keep reminding myself that every rep will count.

The goal is to obviously step on stage but honestly I want to inspire others around me to want to be the best versions of themselves.

Having this to focus on this last year has probably saved my life. Its the application of discipline and doing things you don’t want to do that really brings about success.

10 weeks and a couple days out.

Mentally this it’s been a tough week but that honestly makes everything so much more rewarding.

If you want results… get disciplined! Stop giving in to short term satisfaction and focus on the bigger goal. Through the pain and resilience you will grow.

It’s the same for my clients… if you really want it you will get the results. You can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink!

12 and half weeks out.

Things are starting to take shape… but honestly this game is a mind f**k. I will have days where I feel real confident and days where I think I look like a bag of dicks.

But Ryan brought me back in line a few days ago and just reminded me this is so normal no matter if your doing it for the first time or a pro.

It’s why you need to invest in a coach. It’s someone who can make decisions without the emotion and honestly that’s priceless. It means we can take the fat off whilst holding on to as much muscle as possible and 12 weeks is still a very long time!

Whether your bodybuilding or just losing fat / weight in general it’s important to enjoy and trust the process. Don’t get to caught up on the destination and end goal.

It’s literally one foot in front of the other and one step at a time. Believe me it will come.

Moved over to 2 check in’s a week now.

13 and half weeks out here sitting at 218.5lbs

I had someone ask me in the gym this week “how long you been training mate”

And my answer to this is always the same it doesn’t matter! I have noticed more of a change in my physique in one year managing my food intake than I did in the previous 9 years training without it.

I feel as though people aren’t interested in eating correctly they find it boring and difficult. And the reality is it’s 80% food 20% training.

So then my message is quite simple to people if you are going to train 5 days a week and really commit your time and energy to something why not do it properly and get the best results?

And if you don’t commit yourself properly don’t complain when you feel you aren’t where you need to be.

Stop being a victim! Turn up… do the work! At the end of the pain is growth and ultimately this is what will make you a happier, healthier and more confident individual.

14 weeks out.

Still have so much time and being only 2 weeks into Prep i’m actually very happy at current condition.

I have had to simplify my routine this week and really get some laser like focus into being organised and training hard.

Mindset is literally everything and not just in this sport but in life. I try to coach my clients into understanding this… if you want results it’s absolutely critical.

Change your behaviours and you will get different outcomes.

Last year was about sorting out my mental health and getting in half decent nick…

This year we improve on this and step on stage with the hope to be competitive.

There’s a reason I do this and it’s to genuinely help people…

For someone that has suffered with mental health issues and has a very addictive personality it’s important I choose the right things to become addicted too… routine and discipline is what I crave.

Coming up to 12 weeks with and the results on this one are silly…

James’s weight only dropped by a couple of kilo’s and as you can see we have added some quality muscle tissue whilst reducing body fat significantly! Blokes looking sharp!!

The physical changes are a joke here but it’s the mental aspect you don’t see… James won’t mind me saying he feels like a new bloke!!

That’s 12 weeks , 90 days of structure and routine.

Physique update week 4 -

The shape is starting to come and am very happy with the extra tissue that has been added. Feel like every area is starting to see some improvements and the mad thing is we haven’t even started prep yet…

For now we keep training hard and going into that dark place every session. Remember the body will go where the mind tells it!!
