About us…

From a church hall to our own dance home…

When I started LLDS in 2008, I could never have imagined quite what it would become.

We began as a very small dance school teaching a few days each week from a church hall.

Today, we have our own dedicated dance home, multiple studios, a wonderful professional and very qualified teaching team and hundreds of pupils learning with us every week.

There have been ISTD examinations, shows, competitions, West End performances, four cruises around the Mediterranean, incredible achievements and thousands upon thousands of hours spent dancing!

But the thing I am proudest of isn’t the size of the school.

It’s the culture we have created.

I have always wanted LLDS to be somewhere that takes dance education seriously without losing the joy of dancing.

A school where children are encouraged to work hard, while knowing that their teachers genuinely care about their development.
But above all, it’s somewhere they feel they belong.

Our studio is summed up in four words:

LEARN • LOVE • DEVELOP • SHINE

Those values have grown with LLDS, and they will continue to guide everything we do next.
