QMBL Fencing Three-weapon club based in Queen Mary, University of London. Open to both Queen Mary & Barts and The London students, experienced fencers and beginners.

We are a friendly three-weapon club focused on participation and development from BOTH Queen Mary and Barts and the London Students. Our priority is to make you feel part of the fencing family, enjoy the sport of fencing and encourage wider participation to competit

ions. Whether you are a total beginner or a highly competitive member, we will do our best to cater to your needs so that you may improve your abilities and reach your personal goals. Training sessions are not only fun but also highly competitive as well to deliver the highest standards of results when it comes to BUCS events. With the current status of the pandemic, we will take precautions to minimise the risk to our members. Our training "home" is QMotion - located on Godward Square of Mile End campus. 🏆BUCS INDIES🏆

The long awaited BUCS indies post has arrived! Valentines weekend was well spent by QMBL fencing as we made our yearly trek up to Sheffield for BUCS indies. We have a lot to show for it, with not 1, not 2, but THREE medals won🥳

Day 1: Sophia in the women’s epee made a strong start to the weekend, securing 2nd place 🥈.

Day 2: Damla in the women’s sabre, finishing 17th.

Day 3: 2 more QUEEM medals were secured by our captains, with Jacob winning bronze🥉 in the men’s sabre and Tamara becoming women’s foil 2026 BUCS CHAMPION!!! HUGE congratulations on achieving the club’s best BUCS individual result!

🏆M1 ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE🏆

Recently, the men had their final match of the season (and of tier 2) with an away match against Portsmouth. A 135-77 win means the men are not only UNDEFEATED, but move up to tier 1- a fantastic achievement ! The tower of beer to celebrate was much deserved.

On the last weekend of January the girls travelled to Exeter for the second round of matches to finish off this year’s Prem. A huge effort and commitment was put in by all, ending up with 4 out of 5 matches won and putting us second in the league!

Thankfully, on day 1 we were allowed a lie-in, facing Exeter and Bath in the afternoon.

On day 2 the girls were up and at ‘em early in the morning, ready for another day of matches. After a narrow loss to Oxford, the rest of the day was positive with 2 more wins.
