New look summer camps for 9-16 year olds: Joe has teamed up with ex-student Nick Mitric to create new style summer camps for 4 weeks from 28 July. The camps will run Mondays to Wednesdays from 9.30am-2pm for students at all levels and will be a mix of top notch coaching on tennis strokes and fun games and competitions. There will be a maximum of 24 students, ensuring a ratio of 8 students to one tutor. Long-term members will likely remember Nick, a talented player who went on to coach at David Lloyd and is now himself a level 4 coach. He says "From getting tips to giving them, teaming up with Joe this summer feels like coming full circle. Excited for the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to the next generation.”

They're off! The old artificial grass surface on courts 1-3 is being removed and taken away to be recycled. Then the courts will be power washed and new stone edgings installed. Then a layer of tarmac will be laid with the purpose of zapping any dead spots and creating a level surface. And finally new Tiger Turf artificial grass will be rolled out (as we already have on court 4).

Exciting news! We will be upgrading courts 1-3 from mid-October till end-November. The existing artificial grass will be taken up, a tarmac layer will be applied to smooth out the undulations and dead spots, and Tiger Turf Advantage Pro artificial grass will be laid in a two-tone green colour. We are pleased to announce that new LED floodlights have been installed on our court 4. Environmentally friendly, more economic to run and not requiring maintenance. We expect to install LED lights on our other courts in June 2022. We upgraded the surface of court 4 with Tiger Turf Advantage Pro articial grass in October 2018, so with new lights and upgraded surface, this court is the best in the area!
