Our iconic and critically acclaimed Bikehangar® takes just one half of a car parking space to create six cycle parking spaces. This innovative, public rental scheme – where Councils own and, we install and manage the units - has transformed London. A city where bike theft is immeasurably prominent, cycle parking that is convenient and protected is possible. To date, we have created 8,694 accessible Bikehangar® cycle parking spaces across London and hold a waitlist of an incredible 35,000 people. Our namesake, the Cyclehoop, converts existing street furniture into cycle parking. Anthony Lau, architect and award winning Design Director, created the Cyclehoop in response to his bicycle being stolen. Its clever design prevents bikes from being lifted over street sign posts. Today over 2,000 Cyclehoops are helping keep bikes secure on streets all over the world.

🚲Hooplr Trips is now in Stirling!🚲

Stirling Council approached us with a goal to boost multimodality in rural areas across their constituency.

Their aim was to reduce private car journeys on country roads and increase public transport usage. We loved the idea and set about working with the council to achieve their target.

Fast forward to today and Stirling has seven Hooplr Trips Bikehangars near key bus stops and transport link across the constituency. Trips is our app-enable cycle parking scheme that gives cyclists on-demand access to our secure, weatherproof Bikehangars from as little as 50p.

People in Stirling can now cycle to the bus and park their bike with confidence that it will be there (and in the same condition) when they get back.

This Cycle September, we want to encourage as many people as possible to cycle and travel under their own power.

Delivered by Love to Ride, Cycle September was started to encourage people of all abilities to ride bikes, create a stronger cycling community and help make everyday journeys healthier, easier and more enjoyable.

We created Trips, our on-demand, end-destination cycle parking service, for similar reasons. We knew that lack of secure cycle parking was one of the biggest barriers to cycling, so we set out to fill that gap by installing our Bikehangars at strategic locations such as transport hubs and town centres.

To support Cycle September, we’ve implemented a bonus credit voucher to be used across the entire Hooplr Trips network throughout September. When users add a minimum of £5 to their wallet, they’ll be awarded with 100% extra free.

The Trips network is growing at an incredible rate. So far this year, we’ve onboarded over 1,300 new users, installed 32 new units (a new record) and expanded into nine new areas, taking us up to 15 in total (with more to be completed before the year’s out).

Earlier this month, some of the team went down to The Bike Project in Deptford for a day of volunteering.

The Bike Project is a charity that collects old bikes, refurbishes them and then donates them to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.

With an estimated 38 million unused bikes across the UK, The Bike Project work with the community and their corporate partners, like Cyclehoop, to get their hands on as many of these bikes as possible, turning them into usable modes of transport and leisure for those in need.

Hooplr is the new home for our cycle parking subscription and booking management services. Our residential cycle parking subscription service, previously called Cyclehoop Rentals, is now Hooplr Home and our destination cycle parking service is now known as Hooplr Trips.

Surveys suggest that 41% of people in England have access to a bicycle*, but lack of secure parking is the one of the biggest hurdles preventing them from travelling by bike.

Thanks to funding secured through the City regional sustainable transport Settlement, we partnered with Leeds City Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to launch Hooplr Trips in Leeds!

Trips is our secure destination cycle parking service, and in just 2 weeks since launch, we've already had over 75 bookings with numerous repeat customers - if you build it, they will come!

Using the Hooplr app, available for android and iOS, users can access the Hooplr network, search for locations, make bookings, lock and unlock Bikehangars, add credit to their account, and more.

Having more people travelling by bike creates healthier communities, and helps councils and local authorities meet their climate action goals.

Introducing Hooplr

Hooplr is the new home for our cycle parking subscription and booking management services. A lot of hard graft has gone into this one, so we’re thrilled to finally be announcing it!

Our residential cycle parking subscription service, previously called Cyclehoop Rentals, is now Hooplr Home. You can find us at https://hooplr.com/hooplr-home our brand new website and self-service portal. You can search and apply for spaces, suggest locations, manage your waitlists and subscriptions, change your details, report issues and loads more.

Our destination cycle parking service is now known as Hooplr Trips. Search ‘Hooplr’ on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to access our network of secure, app enabled Bikehangars in town centres, transport hubs, leisure facilities and more.
