I let the sun take the main stage as it was so spectacular.

At Turn Up dance Fitness in London SE16 we have hundreds of songs which means we can mix it up and deliver fresh choreos to our classes.

People in my classes find it hard to believe that I’m actually a shy and introverted person as I’m a hype master in class.

Throughout my career people said that I needed to be louder and that being shy and quiet would stop me from being the leader I could be.

I realised that was nonsense because I am the leader I am because of ALL of me. And especially because of the things people may perceive as flaws. I’ve lived for 53 years and nobody’s perfect.

Being quiet has given me a certain kind of power and leadership that people are inspired by. It’s raw and honest.

Here’s what I’ve learned from allowing that side of me to be present with no shame:

⭐️ I’ve learned how to observe before I react. The skill of observation will take you SO far.

⭐️ I don’t need to be the loudest in the room to be felt. Presence and authenticity speak for themselves.

⭐️ I’ve learnt how to really see and listen.
And people feel when they’re actually being seen and heard.

⭐️ I became comfortable leading in my own way.
Not the way I thought it was “supposed” to be.

⭐️ I don’t force connection.
I create a space for it.

⭐️ I lead with intention, not just volume.
Every move, every song, every MOMENT matters.
