It’s 2020 and this season, as ever, we are looking forward to welcoming a whole host of Freshers into the club from all the KCL campuses! It doesn’t matter if you’re fresh faced and brand new to the world of Lacrosse or a decorated veteran with years of experience; we’d love to have you. For those who are new to the sport, Lacrosse is a fast paced field sport that has often been described to novic
es as “hockey in the air”. It’s a sport that is easy to pick up, and we have all the equipment beginners will need, so don’t be afraid to come along and have a go. There will be loads of new faces and we’ll have you match ready in no time! At King’s Lacrosse, we have five teams that play in weekly fixtures: Ladies’ and Men’s teams play on Wednesdays and the Mixed teams play on Sundays. The Ladies’ and Men’s teams play in the BUCS South Eastern 1A and 2A respectively, and the Mixed teams plays in the LUSL Divison 1. With this wide array of teams playing at a variety of levels we are able to welcome both novices and seasoned pros! Training takes place for everyone on Tuesday evenings at Honor Oak Park, with The Griffin in Dulwich being our home grounds. Just as important as training and matches is the busy social calendar! Weekly socials are at both Guy’s Bar and Walkabout to keep both GKT and the Strandies happy, and we also have a variety of bigger events throughout the year such as Laxmas, AGM and, last but definitely not least, our annual tour!
