As lockdown continues across the globe, musicians have taken to their balconies, doorsteps and roofs to offer live performances for neighbouring residents. A much needed offer of connection, entertainment and a moment of reflection for communities living in isolation 💛⁠⠀

🌓 How can we combat this loneliness for the vulnerable?⁠⠀

🌔 Check in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours, keep a safe distance to avoid putting them at risk. ⁠⠀

🌕 Offer to pick up supplies or walk their dogs.⁠⠀

🌝 Ramp up virtual connection if they have access⁠.⁠⠀
⁠⠀

💧Popsicles of Pollution💧⁠⠀

Scientists have started to draw a correlation between the areas worst hit by COVID-19 and their air pollution levels. Environmental activists across the globe are hoping that this pandemic will act as a catalyst for the system changes they've been campaigning for, including stricter legislation on aviation. ✈️⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Meanwhile, students from New Taipei City collected samples from urban rivers, creeks and ports, along with the pollution found in these natural water sources. ⁠⠀

They froze the water into popsicle moulds and preserved them in resin 🍭 ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
‘We hope when more people see this they can change their lifestyles,’ said one student from the group. ⠀
