I like to use a variety of small equipment in classes to keep the sessions varied and challenging. Recently we’ve been working with weights. Using the weights helps increase our bone density; building muscles and strengthening our joints. It also means we’re working our deep stabilising tummy muscles harder to control movements and therefore enhancing the stability and strength of our spine. Improving posture and balance. On top of all that it’s great fun using the weights in class and everyone loves it. I’m using 1kg dumbbells but you can use 2kg or 4kg with this sequence as you’re supported on the mat so have a go 💪🏻 Remember to warm up first 😅
