A 4-0 victory over Oxford 2s at Lee Valley for Hospitals United and we’re back. First dub for new committee (Captain) & (President).

Over 2 weeks has passed since November has ended, so we thought it was about time to share the final results….

Somehow, this questionable assemble of facial hair managed to raise over £1.4k! Thank you to everyone who donated to this great cause and helped to make at least a small difference in the lives of thousands of men.

A quick roundup of events over the month:
The St George’s boys led the fundraising charge from start to finish, with all 3 lads in the top 4 fundraisers - the South London touch coming through
GKT’s finest Omer Cayir and Tanay Kulkarni were joint tied for worst tache, pitching in with a combined 3mm growth
Sachin Goyal went full Britney - really not sure what happened here but tbh the less said about this the better

This year, the UH boys are getting stuck into some fundraising.

To kick off, we’re all taking part in Movember - a cause that we all feel very strongly about. Besides having a good laugh at our ridiculous faces, this is a great cause that provides genuine help to men all across the country, suffering both physically and mentally. As young men growing up in this society, we believe it’s our responsibility to use our platform to raise awareness for something that we could all suffer from.

The Movember cause is now a leading organisation in the field of men’s health. Globally, men die on average 6 years before women, and largely from preventable causes. During this pandemic, it is more important than ever to be aware of these issues and to look out for one another.

Representing this upcoming year’s UH committee will be GKT tandem (Captain) & (President).

Both come in with a wealth of experience and are looking forward to safely returning back to hockey!

They’d like to thank for a stellar job holding both positions last year, and aim to build on what is already a solid foundation for the club.
