Champions!

Today was finals day for the boys against .

We won the toss and batted first today and we got off to a great start. Jo made 17 before being run out. Rafe anchored the innings with a superb 20. Saif, Zuhain and Subhaan all continued their fine run of form, with all 3 posting a score of 25. We ended on a very good total of 189 off 16 overs.

We started quick with the ball too — a team hat-trick, a run out and two bowled from Rahul, and Woodford Wells never really recovered. Rafe picked up 3 wickets, with two more run outs sealing the win.

Final result: West Essex CC won by 126 runs

A massive mention to the opposition, parents and supporters for making it a memorable day for the children. 🙌

We did amazingly well winning every game in the league and the knockouts to eventually be crowned winners.

A mixed bag of results across the men’s teams this Saturday.

The 1s were comfortable winners against Frenford Cricket Club . Chasing 188 we lost only 3 wickets in the run chase. Mo Zareef with 6 wickets for us and a classy 78 from Nomi and unbeaten 68 from Zain led us home.

The 2nds lost away to Belhus Cricket Club . After being put into bat we could only muster 201, Iddy top scoring with 62. We started off well with the ball having the hosts 35-3, with skipper Imran taking all 3 however the Belhus Cricket Club middle order rallied and saw thier team home.

The 3s were victorious in a low scoring thriller chasing 151 they won with one wicket to spare against Shenfield Cricket Club

The 4s lost by 23 runs to Aztecs CC . Chasing 214 we fell short . Mustafa pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.

Our Under 11s have made it all the way to the Hayden Davies Bopara 2026 Final against our dear friends and we need YOU there to make some noise!

Weekend round-up 🏏

The 1st XI charge onto the title with a nervy win over Belhus Cricket Club — bowling first to restrict the hosts to 208, then holding on to get over the line by 2 wickets.

The 2nds fell to Benfleet CC at home, despite posting a good score of 265 — Benfleet got there with 2 overs to spare. A classy 104 from Iddy in vain.

The 3s lost to Wanstead & Snaresbrook Cricket Club , posting a below-par 205 with Shahab top-scoring on 53. Wanstead knocked the runs off in 33 overs losing only 2 wickets.

The 4s had a better afternoon against Wanstead — a brutal 149 off just 78 balls from Abdullah, in a 236-run opening stand with Ahmed, powered us to a mammoth 387. Wanstead were bowled out for 233.

Under 11 semi final result!!

Well done to the under 11s this morning with a comprehensive 172 run win over Walthamstow Cricket Club

Batting first 5 of the top 6 made it to 25. Jo Zuhain saif viraj and Subhaan all retired. We did amazingly well not to lose a wicket.

Bowling second we started off well with Zidane Rahul and Rafe picking up early wickets. Our other 2 wickets came from run outs. All in all a good win and onto the final to face either or . Good luck to both! MEDCB

A clean sweep on Saturday for the club!

1s away to Harlow Cricket Club — won by 56 runs. Man in form Zain with a brilliant 132 and 5 wickets. Not a bad day at the office!

2s vs LONDON EAGLES SC — a thriller! Batting first we posted 243, Adnan with a quickfire 50. Eagles cruised to 170-2 before 4 wickets each from Billy & Sammy dragged us over the line by just 11 runs. Only 1 defeat in 7 — the form continues!

3s on the road at Shenfield Cricket Club — chased down 275 with a nail-biting finish thanks to a brilliant 55 from Usman Raja*. With the ball Danish stood out with a 5-fer

4s vs Fives — cruised to a 110-run win. Batting first we posted an excellent 336/9, Abdullah hitting a brilliant 133.

And it didn’t stop there!

The U13s booked their place in the LS Bopara Final with a 10-wicket win over barkingcricket.

Abdul 3 wickets for just 4 runs, Jo brilliant with 2, Ibby & Nathan one each, and Subhaan with one wicket bowling 2 maidens from his 2 overs. Chasing down, we didn’t lose a wicket — Musa (30 retired)* and Abdul (retired) got us home in style.

U9s — first hat-trick of the season across the junior section for Frank Hughes! Take a bow 👏

U11s (a combined side with our friends at Chingford Cricket Club fell just 7 runs short away at . Woodford posted 188/7, Harry the pick of the bowlers with 2-5. In the chase, Hector’s 53, Zidane’s quick fire 20 and Zuhain’s 30 got us agonisingly close. Thanks to Woodford Wells for hosting 🤝

Winter nets. Early mornings. Another round of throw downs when it’s nearing dark. Now we’re into the business end of the season and our Juniors are showing exactly what all that hard work was for! 🏏🏏🏏

Every player on this list has put in the graft — and this is just the story so far. More to come as they all progress.

A mixed bag of Saturday results across the four teams

The 1st continue their relentless charge towards the title with a win over Leigh On Sea CC . Batting first we posted an impressive 274 with Zain scoring an impressive 116. We defended the total and yes that man again Zain was the stand out with figures of 3 wickets for only 8 runs!!

The 2s carried on from last week and made it back to back wins against a young Rainham Cricket Club side. Bowling first Rainham started off well and from 112-3 were bowled out for 180. Iddy again impressing with the ball with 3 wickets. The chase was over in 25 overs with Afsand scoring a classy 116. The 2s will look to build on this good form next week.

The 3s were outdone by high flying Wanstead & Snaresbrook Cricket Club . Opting to bat first we could only manage a well below par 130 which Wanstead chased down with ease losing only two wickets in their pursuit.

The 4s lost in a run fest against Newham Cricket Club . Batting first we posted what looked like a match winning 332. Abdullah, Asim, Ali and Adeel all scored 50+ but Newham were able to chase down the total with the loss of 6 wickets.
