Being a specialist mum training programme doesn’t mean wrapping women in cotton wool. It means understanding what pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery can do to the body, and knowing how to coach appropriately from there.

At MakeMomStrong, we want you to lift. We want you to train your core. We want you to be able to run, jump and move with confidence if those are things you want to do.

But we also know that getting there might require a slightly different approach.

That means teaching you how to manage pressure when you lift, helping you gradually build back towards impact, adapting training if you’re experiencing pelvic floor symptoms and actually progressing your training as your strength and capacity return.

And importantly, we don’t assume symptoms like leaking, heaviness or discomfort are simply things you have to accept now that you’re a mum. They’re information, and they deserve to be listened to.

Specialist training isn’t about giving mums a smaller, easier version of everyone else’s workout. It’s about having the knowledge to meet you where you are now and help you build towards where you want to be.

Because the end goal was never just to get you exercising again, it’s to make you strong!

The childcare juggle. The broken sleep. The “I’ll work out when I get a minute” that somehow becomes three weeks. 😂

Trust us, we KNOW.

That’s exactly why Make Mum Strong exists - training that works around real mum life, babies and all.

Come train with people who get it 🤍

There are a lot of things mums are told they shouldn’t do when it comes to training during pregnancy and after having a baby.

Don’t lift too heavy. Don’t run. Avoid this movement. Be careful with your core. Stick to the “postnatal” exercises.
But specialist coaching isn’t about giving every mum the same list of rules.

Here we don’t automatically ban running, jumping or lifting because you’ve had a baby. We don’t assume diastasis means certain exercises are permanently off limits. We don’t hand every mum the same set of postnatal core exercises.

And while we don’t ignore symptoms like leaking, we don’t treat them as a sign that you should stop training altogether either.

We look at you - your pregnancy and birth, your recovery, your symptoms, your training history and what you actually want to get back to.

Sometimes that means modifying. Sometimes it means rebuilding. Sometimes it means progressing.

The goal isn’t to keep mums in the “postnatal exercise” box forever. It’s to give you the support, knowledge and confidence to get strong again - whatever strong looks like for you.

Save this one or send it to a mum who’s ready to stop being told what she can’t do!

Behind every postpartum athlete is usually another mum saying “you’ve got this”

The one who saves you a space. Holds the baby while you finish your set. Celebrates the tiny wins that actually feel massive. Reminds you how far you’ve come. And somehow makes getting out of the house and moving your body feel that little bit easier.

Deciding to get strong again after having a baby isn’t something you have to do alone! Sometimes seeing another mum doing it is the reminder you need that you can too. Tag the mum who’s inspired you, cheered you on or made your postpartum journey a little bit stronger ❤️

A little check-in for the mums 💛

Because sometimes you need the reminder that you’re not lazy, you’re knackered. That recovery doesn’t have a deadline. That leaking during exercise might be common, but it isn’t something you just have to put up with.

That feeding yourself matters too. Taking an hour for yourself is allowed. Some weeks you’ll feel strong, other weeks you’ll feel exhausted - neither says anything about how well you’re doing.

And please, please stop using someone else’s postpartum body on Instagram as the benchmark for your own.

Motherhood asks a lot of you.

You’re allowed to look after the person doing it, too.

There are a lot of things mums have been told to just accept.

That your body will never be the same.
That lifting weights isn’t for you.
That putting yourself first is selfish.
That motherhood has to be lonely.

We don’t buy into any of it.

At MakeMomStrong, we believe mums deserve to feel strong, capable and supported - with coaching that meets you where you are, a free on-site crèche, and a community that gets it.

Because becoming a mum doesn’t mean becoming less.

It might just be the strongest you’ve ever been.

There comes a point where strength stops being about the weight on the bar… and starts being about the weight in your arms. 🤍

For these mums, it’s carrying two little humans, often at the same time, day after day.

We don’t train to make everyday life harder. We train so the things that matter most feel a little easier, a little more comfortable, and so we can keep doing them for as long as our little ones need us.

That’s the kind of strength we’re here to build. 💛

There isn’t one “right” way to return to exercise after having a baby.

Some mums are ready to move at 6 weeks. Others are 6 months or even 2 years postnatal and still don’t know where to begin.

That’s exactly why we created MakeMomStrong.

Whether you’re rebuilding your pelvic floor, looking to regain your strength, wanting to try Pilates or Yoga, or you’ve got your sights set on your first HYROX, we’ve got a pathway to help you get there.

You’ll be supported by experienced coaches, backed by our in-house Women’s Health Physio, with a free onsite crèche included in every membership - because we know childcare shouldn’t be another barrier to looking after yourself.

This isn’t about bouncing back.

It’s about rebuilding in a way that feels right for you.

Ready to see what MakeMomStrong is all about? Your first class is on us. 💛

I think every mum joins thinking they’re just coming to get a bit fitter.

Then somehow you leave with a whole group of women who become such a big part of your life.

The people who understand why you’re late because of a nap, who don’t mind if your baby cries.

Those who celebrate your wins, listen when you’re having a rubbish week, and remind you that you’re not doing motherhood on your own.

Getting stronger is amazing.

But finding your people? That’s the bit no one tells you about.

If you’ve found your village through MakeMomStrong, we’d love to know who they are. Tag the mum who’s helped you through the early days. 🤍

Women really grow a whole human.

Then give birth.

Then feed that human with their own body.

And somewhere in between the sleepless nights, the nappies, the school runs and the endless mental load...

They come back and get strong as f*ck.

Lifting weights.
Running races.
Building muscle.
Doing things they never thought possible.

As if growing a human wasn’t impressive enough already.

You know what?

Hell yeah. 💪

To every mum showing up for herself alongside everyone else - we see you.
