Congratulations to our Cadet players Michael and Alex representing Stratford Judokwai at the British Championships on Saturday in Nottingham. Both Michael and Alex fought in a tough U50kg group, demonstrating some fine attacking judo and securing wins by Ippon. Michael won his way through to the final, winning Silver and Alex secured 7th place. Many thanks to Sensei Danny for his mat side support.

Congratulations to Matei and Nathaniel, both winning 🥇gold on Saturday.

Matei competed in the East London U8 Festival, starting his competitive journey in Judo with a podium topping performance 🎉🎉🎉

Nathaniel competed in the Craig Fallon Cup, Pre-Cadet U55kg winning his group with some clever judo.

This was the end of Michael's first fight at Venray. His opponent scores a yuko, but Michael is able to roll into the osaekomi. The ref however calls Mate stopping the hold down. This was frustrating, and a bit controversial. Thoughts?
