Chingford Tora was founded by the Ives family in March 2004 and is affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) the biggest single-style Shotokan Karate association in the UK. We cater for all ages and abilities from infants (minimum 6 years of age) to senior citizens. Many of our members are parents that train together with their children. We encourange hard training and discipline but

in a friendly, welcoming environment for all. Karate training offers many benefits - it improves fitness, flexibility, strength, discipline and concentration. Of course there is also the obvious benefit of learning self-defence skills. We invite you to come and give us a try without obligation - it's never too late to start learning karate.
