Meet our artist for the Living Image Chapter 2.

Introducing Sheri King, who joined Corali’s youth company, Kick Up in 2015. Sheri has performed with Kick Up in Bowled Over (2017) and Sounds Good to Me (2020). She has also performed with Corali’s main company for 9 Windows Reimagined (2017), Ode to Edith (2022 and 2023), Excellent Together at the Royal Opera House (a collaboration with Thick & Tight) and was part of the Super Hot Hot Dog tour 2023-24. Sheri has been part of Freestylers, a collective made up of artists with and without disability, since 2019. With Freestylers she has performed in film and live work Everybody With Me Always (2021) which was toured nationally as part of the CONTINUOUS network, and Honey, you are art (2024).

She studied performing arts at Lewisham College, graduating in June 2024 and recently completed a placement at Siobhan Davies Studios (SDS) in collaboration with Southwark College. Sheri continues to work at SDS as an Event Assistant and will be performing later in November with Corali.

Sheri is passionate about dancing and loves contemporary dance and improvisation.

Meet our artist for the Living Image Chapter 2.

Introducing Charlie Morrissey, who has been making performance and teaching internationally for over 35 years. His work asks what can happen in a live encounter; how it comes to happen and how performance is made, hosted and shared.

Long working relationships with artists including Steve Paxton, Lisa Nelson, Siobhan Davies, Kirstie Simson, Becky Edmunds, K.J. Holmes, Scott Smith, Andrea Buckley, Katye Coe, Lucy Suggate and Rob Hopper continue to shape, inspire and disrupt his work.

Alongside an international teaching practice, He is artistic director of Wainsgate Dances, an artist-led programme based in a former chapel in Yorkshire, where his interests in performance, place and community come together and are tested.

Current performance projects include Scáling with Markéta Stránská (Aerowaves 2026) , and Supernature, a solo originally created to accompany Siobhan Davies' film Transparent.

🌟 Marking SDS’s 20th anniversary, this four-chapter project (July 2026 – July 2027) invites 20 artists to deconstruct, dismantle, and reclaim movement traditions in a project that dis/honours Siobhan Davies’ original work, challenging how dance history is archived and celebrated.

📹 Sharing a short clip from the rehearsals and performance of FEAR. Directed by SDS Co-Artistic Director Annie Pui Ling Lok, Juan Ayala, Anne-Gaëlle Thiriot and Anna Alvarez, the piece was performed by 50 people with ties to the Elephant and Castle area—many of whom were taking the stage for the first time.

😱 In this project, we explored the fear of the unknown, the fear of our space or comfort being threatened, and how fear can control us. Together we explored how we can challenge fear through support and trust in one another.

👀 Watch the full performance on our LPFE Celebration this Saturday! We will be screening all performances of LANGUAGE / POWER / FEAR /EMOTION throughout the day.

💃🏽 Also, join the workshop with Anna Alvarez on the day! She will be teaching iconic tango moves from the FEAR project.
