Time for another Women’s Climbing Symposium 😁
Hope to see you there!

As some of you may know by now my coaching obsession is not just with lazy bums, jolly giraffes and try hard turtles - I’m also pretty keen on feet!

For me climbing is a vertical dance and it is my mission to teach you all the moves to this wonderful diverse dance so you can enjoy the feeling of climbing to its fullest.
As all good dancers know, it all starts with the feet - funnily enough it’s very often the same in climbing!

🎯Footwork: it’s not the most fun part of climbing but fundamentally so much of climbing starts at the toes. Get your foot placements as accurate as possible and the rest of the body stands its best chance of performing efficiently and effectively.

Awareness into the feet is one of the most common missed aspects and the first weak link in the chain that I see.

Think feet first during your warm up climbs for a while and see what happens 🤔

Earlier in June I was incredibly lucky to spend time in Switzerland with old friends including very talented photographer Archie Cameron-Blackie - .of.corks.photo

I spent the week opening up projects on the classic lines and trying realllly hard - it was wonderful to be bouldering hard again, swimming in the river and running around the woods barefoot!

There are many more images to share but here is a snippet of this truly Magic Wood and Brione through Archie’s lens.

1. Trying realllly hard on ‘Piranha’ (project)
2&3. The classic ‘Hohenrausch’ ✅
4. Desperately trying to catch the last massive move on ‘Intermezzo’ (project)
5. The sketchy amazing rock over of ‘Verbotene Frucht’ ✅
6. Fabulous high ball ‘Blue Sky of Mine’ ✅
7. Day trip to Brione for a warm send of ‘Pro Touch Low’ ✅
8. Working the epic moves on ‘Foxy Lady’ (project)

Time to address the bigger picture 🌍
This feels exposing and vulnerable so please be gentle!

I spend a lot of time travelling the world for work and visiting loved ones. It is something I absolutely love and seeing my family, I cannot live without.
But it comes at a cost I am not proud of.
I have - and intend to again - live in a tiny home (Bex the van 🥰) ran by solar panels but the benefits of that are a drop in the ocean compared to the impact of the flights I take.

Since Sep 2022 I have been lucky enough to travel the world and have been using Wren to offset my Carbon footprint.
According to Wren and based on my lifestyle (not just flights) over the last 8 months it has been calculated to cost me under £40 per month to offset 100% of my carbon emissions!

If I can afford to travel the world and explore its beauty I can afford to try to offset the environmental impact I have.

So very proud of this lot! Climbing Out of Depression

A short update from the founder of COOD, Be Fuller:
“Firstly, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to these legends who have been working so hard - volunteering their time and skills to make Climbing Out of Depression a charity which can safely and legitimately help countless people in the (hopefully very near!) future.
They have invested so much of their precious time and called upon their wonderful contacts so as to not spend a penny of the funds you have so kindly donated and we have all raised so far.
It’s the most complicated and challenging thing I’ve ever been part of but please stick with us - we are nearly there! 🙏💕
I can’t wait to start introducing those who need it the most to the wonderful world of climbing!”

I experienced every sunrise and sunset during my time in Fiji earlier this year.
It was incredibly therapeutic.
A time, place and people I will never forget 🌅

I wanted to share that Hannah and I have mutually decided to end our marriage.
Of course it’s not a decision we have taken lightly but we are now saying goodbye to our old lives together in our van.
We are both coping well and are focusing on our friendship and climbing partnership.
This is not the end but a new beginning 💕
