As an L&D leader embracing GenAI in my daily work, I’m seeing a powerful shift in how we create and deliver learning:

But it goes beyond content.

AI is enabling personalised learning journeys, smart nudges, gamified pathways, and sentiment-driven analysis refinement.

A mentor provides guidance, shares valuable experiences, and offers insights that can help a mentee navigate complex challenges and avoid common pitfalls.

This relationship cultivates a supportive environment where the mentee can develop critical skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Furthermore, mentorship encourages continuous learning and self-improvement, which are essential qualities in effective leaders.

Unlock Better Decisions with Sharper Questions! 🚀

Being an expert may blind you to ask smarter questions to tackle key issue.
It is easy to fall into team’s individual and collective habits when it comes to problem solving.
A pattern of interaction exists.
Advances in AI supports this shift from asking questions to crafting sharp prompts.

During meetings, we can employ a process of asking successive ‘why’ questions followed by ‘how’ to explore deeply and generate more sophisticated alternatives.
We must aim to generate nonobvious information.

There are 5 types of strategic questions:
Interpretative: So, What...?
Speculative: What if...?
Productive: Now What...?
Investigative: What’s know...?
Subjective: What’s unsaid...?

Leaders and managers are like captains of a wild, cool ship, sailing through new and exciting seas, ready to rock the boat with innovation and agility.

Leading during uncertain times requires a unique set of skills: (I will start with my favorite one 🥰 ; as a Life-coach it is a non-negotiable skill for life) 
 
Embrace Discomfort and a Learning Mindset: 
👌🏼 Acknowledge that uncertainty is normal and expected. 
❓ Shift from a “know it all” mindset to a “learn it all” approach. 
🐎 Understand that you don’t need to have all the answers to keep moving.  
 
Plan for Multiple Scenarios: 
◽ Instead of succumbing to anxiety, ACT. 
◽ Develop contingency plans for various scenarios. 
◽ Being prepared helps alleviate uncertainty.

And other times, you’ll need to offer more constructive criticism to help an employee reach their goals 🎯

By 2030, we anticipate a staggering global talent shortage of 85 million individuals. This pressing reality underscores the critical need for us to enhance our efforts in empowering individuals to continually refine their skill sets.
Exciting advancements in learning technology, propelled by AI and automation, are reshaping the landscape of L&D and OD.

The consequences of neglecting investment in learning are profound. Accenture warns that the expanding skills gap in the tech sector alone could jeopardise $11.5 trillion in GDP growth over the next decade.
Forward-thinking high performers understand the imperative of remaining agile and competitive through ongoing skill development. Failure to provide avenues for growth will inevitably lead them to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Leadership is a skill that can be mastered as well as being in high currency to attract and retain Talents.

The 4R Model is an approach where the leader engaged in a network of collaborative relationships and places into a global business and leadership perspective.

Relationships, Roles, Responsibilities, and Results.

The process builds leaders who are able to effectively motivate and inspire the organisation.

Leaders need to put in practice specific characteristics into the daily routines to help their organisations to succeed by building trustworthy relationships:
Moral integrity - high moral standards
Intellectual flexibility - be open to other perspectives
Determination - initiate actions in the face of obstacles
Emotional maturity - collaboration aligned to employee's motivation.

Those values need to be supported by the roles of the leaders.
A leader has a role of direction setter, spokesperson, coach, and change agent.
Leadership aims to stimulate ideas within the work culture.
Leaders move beyond self-interests and promote the well being of others.

This 4R framework emphasises vital leadership responsibilities.
Leading is to:
Visualize and communicate an engaging picture of the preferred future state
Build a roadmap of realistic, measurable, and time-oriented steps to get to the future state
Align the skills and resources of the organisation to the strategy
Infuse confidence, courage, and recognition
Take risks, make decisions and say “no” if necessary.

The results are the cumulative and collective outcomes of leaders’ relationships, roles and responsibilities depicted above.
Those are essential activities and behaviours every transformational leader must do to lead well over time.

Work can be and we come to work from a life that might be tough.  
But bringing a approach and attitude will set you apart. 
 
Those 4 pillars in Interpersonal Skills are all learnable. 
 
In a group or in one-2-one, self-directed learning or in a classroom, mastering those skills will make a profound difference how we are perceived by others at work or how we will stand out during the interview process. 
 
Communicate effectively: 
Think two-way - sending & receiving information, listening actively to understand, asking genuine questions. 
Do not use
 
Conflict management to solve problem: 
An mindset is essential. 
Disagreement is communication, approach it as another perspective to consider. 
Like new data can make us review our strategy, disagreement is a new idea to tap in to review our process. 
 
Collaborate beneficially: 
Hybrid work makes even more challenging. 
But cooperation is one of the top power skills necessary for productivity. 
Coaching management type & establishing an atmosphere of trust support collaboration. 
 
Self-awareness: 
It starts with our ability to perceive, understand, use and manage our own emotions. 
When we understand ourselves, we can relate better with others.

It is not anymore about process & procedures but real time operational solutions aligned to the organisational objectives.
