Established since December 2000 Corrientes Social Club is a private members club. Mina and Giraldo are well established dancers and teachers you can find more about their experience and works by visiting our webpage. Since Corrientes opened its doors in the year 2000, its founders, Mina and Giraldo have developed a club which captures the

atmosphere of traditional milongas from Buenos Aires. The club has been visited by important tango artists: musicians, dancers and teachers. such as the casts of TangoXDos and Tango Pasion, Miguel and Osvaldo Zotto, Lorena Ermocida, Pablo Veron, Mora Godoy, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio and many other great artists from Nuevo tango and traditional tango including several milongueros from 'La Guardia Vieja'.The main thrust of Corrientes Social Club is to educate and delight UK audiences on the wonders of tango dance from Argentina. It has a large number of professionally trained teachers (in house and guests) and practitioners keen to promote, perform and teach tango.The club produces an informative monthly programme and is constituted as a members club. If you are interested in Argentine tango dance, music or South American Culture and would like to exchange ideas, events, meet people etc please join us. 🌿 Cool Breezes & Social Tango: We’re Back This Wednesday!
Missed us last week? While Giraldo was away sharing the tango love at the Greece Tango Event, we were daydreaming about our next night on the floor. Tomorrow, we’re back for our regular Wednesday Workshop & Practica 2x4.
Yes, it’s beautifully warm outside, but we’ve got you covered. Think of the studio as your mid-week oasis:

This week we are taking a short pause while Giraldo attends Argentina Tango Week in Sitia, Crete.

🫶🏽 Corrientes is back 🤩💫 Sat June 13, 9pm-🪗 The Roots of Tango on the Social Dance Floor 🪩 Tango de Buenos Aires, an evening with world-renowned maestros Los Ocampo, 9pm Open Level Class, exploring the playful rhythms and character of Canyengue, followed by a milonga with TDJ Babis Pappas (El Párroco), whose musicalisation is celebrated for keeping dance floors vibrant until the final tanda.
