King Corney

Every kingdom answers to one crown, this season it rests on Finn Corney. Playing Will Linebacker, he ruled the field covering every blade of grass. May every enemy trespassing on royal ground be at his mercy. He read plays before they developed and closed them down before they could breathe, governing the defence the way a king governs his lands. Number 1 isn’t just the jersey, it’s the ranking. When the crown demanded a stop, it was delivered. GB rests on his shoulders.

Prince Fohpa

A prince in his own right and the beating heart of the offence. Mohammed Fohpa carried the kingdom on his shoulders cutting through enemy territory like it already belonged to him. There’s an arrogance to the way a prince moves, knowing the crown is his by blood, and Fohpa ran with exactly that. Every carry was a new claim to land, every drive an expansion of the realm. Two princes share this court one guarding the throne, while this one conquers for it, though the Prince’s eye is said to wander toward the finer sights of the realm. When the offence needed ground taken, the Prince took it himself and dared anyone to stop him.

Prince Churchill

First in line to the throne and the man in the middle of it all. Brian Churchill wore the crown of the defence, calling the front, setting the checks, making sure every man knew his post before the snap. It’s only right the heir to the throne stood beside the monarch. He diagnosed plays before they unfolded and arrived at the ball like he’d been sent an invitation. The general at the heart of the defence, second only to the King himself. When the kingdom needed a stand, the Prince was already there.

Duke Stolz

Some titles are handed down. This one was chosen. Sera Stolz earned the respect of every man in the locker room, and there’s no honour higher than the one your own brothers vote for. Stolz commanded the offence like a duke commands his estate, decisive in the pocket, trusted with the plan, leading from the front without a word hushed. He touched the ball on every snap and carried the weight that came with it. The players named him themselves. That kind of nobility can’t be inherited, only earned after decades and decades and decades of experience.

Baron Daskalov

Every kingdom is built on land held by the barons. At defensive end, Simeon Daskalov spent the season moving mountains to contain his border and raid everyone else’s. He set the edge and collapsed the pocket from the outside in. Barons do the work nobody sings about, the grind on the frontier that keeps the crown upright while the glory goes elsewhere. He held his ground, turned runners back inside, dealt with challenges larger than could be imagined, all so the defence could feast on what he funneled their way.

The Architect - Coach Cameron Flood

The mastermind behind it all, always there but not always seen. The architect spent close to a decade working from the shadows establishing himself as one of the jewels in this court. He rose from the underside of the world bringing with him fables and scrolls he’d pass down to the crown. His experience is priceless and when accompanied by relentless passion the perfect recipe for success is achieved. Coach Cam harnessed the schemes of War to their fullest potential leading this kingdom into its most successful conquest to date. His tenure as DC and interim HC is now etched in stone, not only leading this kingdom the farthest it has ever been but he did so without a single battle lost until the very end. This Kingdom will praise his valour with songs for centuries to come.

Court Jester Mercein

Every court needs its jester and #69 wore the bells better than anyone, but never mistake the jester for a fool. At Centre Mikey Mercein sat at the very heart of the offence snapping the ball and setting the protections, the man everything ran through before a single play began. Which is only fitting, because this whole season ran through him. As club president he held the court together off the field just as surely as he held the line on it, the influence behind the crown and the reason half of this kingdom stands where it does today. He kept us loose when it mattered and went to work the moment the whistle blew. And yes, he’s the only man alive who could crack a joke at the King’s expense and walk away laughing. Regent of the Year, no title has been more deserved. Let the record show, the Regents were a better court for having him in it. Kings come and go, but every throne remembers the man who built the room around it. Tip your caps for The Merceinator.

The Risen - Dhanvin Deepchand

Not every noble is born into the title. Some climb for it. At guard, #54 started the season as one name on the line and finished it impossible to ignore, a story of graft rewarded and ceilings broken. Deepchand rose the hard way, earning every inch through work nobody handed him, pulling, sealing, and opening lanes that turned into yards. The court is full of men who inherited their place. This one built his through clenched fists and timely spurts of physicality. Most Improved Player but the climb isn’t finished.

Sir Nathan Masters

Newly dubbed and already dangerous. Playing Sam Linebacker, Masters #35 stepped onto the field a rookie learning from the best beside him and left it a problem for every offence he faced. Holding the strong side and hunting the ball with an instinct you can’t teach a first year. A knight proves himself in his first campaign or not at all, and Masters answered the call with a resounding debut. Fearless, relentless, and only just beginning. The kingdom found a new defender this season, and the enemy already knows his name.
