If your family gets free school meals, you can get free, brand-new school uniform at a drop-in session.

You can get:

shirts
trousers
polo shirts
jumpers
shorts
skirts
To help as many families as possible, each child can get 2 of each item of clothing, while stocks last. You can get uniform for more than 1 child.

We’re working with PECAN, our local community partner, to organise the sessions. The uniforms have been donated by major retailers.

How to get uniform

Come to one of our drop-in sessions at the Ann Bernadt Centre, 29 Chandler Way, London SE15 6DT.

You do not need an appointment or referral. You do not need to bring anything with you.

Drop-in session dates and times

All sessions are from 10am to 1pm. There are sessions on:

Tuesday 15 September
Wednesday 16 September
Thursday 17 September
Tuesday 22 September
Wednesday 23 September
Thursday 24 September
If you cannot come on these dates, fill in the free school uniform order form and we’ll get uniform to you.

What happens at a drop-in session

When you arrive, you’ll be asked to sign an order sheet. This helps us keep track of stock and make sure it goes where it’s needed most.

If your child’s size isn’t available on the day, let us know.

We have limited stock available, however we’re working with our partners to get more stock for the future.

Free school uniform - details for collection!

If your family gets free school meals, you can get free, brand-new school uniform.

Earlier this week we announced we’re giving thousands of free school uniforms to children in Southwark.

We can now confirm the details for collection.

Drop in sessions will be taking place at the Ann Bernadt Centre from 10am-1pm on:

Tuesday 15 September
Wednesday 16 September
Thursday 17 September
Tuesday 22 September
Wednesday 23 September
Thursday 24 September

Thousands of free school uniforms are going to families who need them most in .

We are working in partnership with charities Donate to Educate and PECAN to distribute around 7,000 items of school uniform to pupils in the borough who receive free school meals.

Families will be able to collect uniforms from the Ann Bernadt SEND Family Hub in Peckham. Details of dates and times will follow soon.

Southwark is one of three London boroughs taking part in the pilot scheme alongside Merton and Wandsworth. Across the three boroughs, Donate to Educate has helped rescue more than 20,000 school uniform items from disposal.

Aviation is one of the most technically demanding and historically exclusive fields in professional life. The path to becoming a licensed commercial pilot requires hundreds of hours of flight time, rigorous written and practical examinations, medical certification, and sustained financial and personal investment across years of training. The barriers to entry are real, and the demographics of the profession have historically reflected who had access to those resources.These four young men are on that path — taking the steps, accumulating the hours, building the skills, and working toward credentials that will allow them to fly professionally.There is something specific worth acknowledging in the celebration of people entering aviation who come from communities historically underrepresented in it. The pipeline of professional pilots is shaped not just by who can physically perform the job — many people can — but by who believes from an early age that the profession is available to them, who receives encouragement to pursue it, and who encounters people who look like them already doing it.Representation in aviation at the professional level creates the conditions for broader representation in the pipeline. Pilots who are visible in their communities, who speak to students, who appear in photographs being celebrated on their journey — they shift what young people imagine as possible for themselves.Four young men choosing aviation. Taking the steps. Moving toward something difficult and worthwhile.Aviation needs more of them. They're doing the work. That deserves acknowledgment.
