Handing your child over for the day takes trust.

Every member of the AllKidsCan team is DBS checked and qualified - from National Governing Body coaching awards right up to degree level - and we have designated safeguarding leads across all our activities. We're Ofsted registered too.

It's the part parents tell us matters most, and it's the part we take most seriously.

What helps you feel confident when you're leaving your child somewhere new?

Half-term starts on Monday 👀

There are still places at ActivCamps from 26 to 30 October - book a day, a few days or the whole week. All our ActivCamps sites are eligible for childcare vouchers and working tax credits.

Places vary by venue, so take a look at the booking page to see where there's still space.

Are you a booked-it-in-September planner or a Saturday-before scrambler? No judgement either way 😅

Some of the parents we speak to have held off booking because they weren't sure their child would fit in.

Maybe their child has additional needs and they're worried it'll be too much. Maybe their child doesn't have a diagnosis, so they assume our inclusion work isn't aimed at them.

Either way, the answer's the same. AllKidsCan is for every child aged 4-12. Our staff get to know each child and adapt activities around them, so everyone takes part in their own way.

If you could tell a coach one thing about your child before their first session, what would it be?

Not sporty? Not a problem.

ActivCamps isn't about finding the fastest runner or the best footballer. It's a week of trying things - basketball one hour, dance the next, a game of dodgeball after lunch - with coaches who make sure everyone gets a go.

Plenty of children arrive unsure and go home asking if they can come back tomorrow.

If your child could pick one activity to do all day, what would it be?

Half a term in, and the after-school routine has well and truly settled.

At our after-school clubs, the end of the day is a chance to run around, make something, get a bit of homework done and catch up with friends - with qualified, DBS-checked staff keeping an eye on everything.

Children usually come out with plenty to say. Getting them to tell you about it is another matter.

What's the first thing your child tells you about their day - or do you have to coax it out of them? 😄

Inclusion isn't about finding a way for children to simply be present.

It's about creating opportunities for children to participate, enjoy themselves and feel part of the group.

At AllKidsCan, we work with children with a wide range of needs and adapt activities around the children we're supporting.

Because every child deserves the opportunity to have fun.

Think ActivCamps is only for children who love sport?

Think again.

Our sessions are designed to give children the chance to get active, try new things, make friends and develop skills whatever their starting point.

You don't have to be the fastest runner.
You don't have to be the best footballer.
You don't even have to know what your favourite activity is yet.

Sometimes you just need the opportunity to have a go.

ActivCamps is for all children.

Every child is different.

Their interests are different.

Their communication is different.

Their confidence is different.

Their needs are different.

That's why inclusive provision can't be a one-size-fits-all approach.

We get to know the children, understand what works for them and create opportunities around their individual needs.

We believe children's sport and activity shouldn't be for a gifted few.

It should be for everyone.

Whatever their ability. Whatever their confidence level.

Whatever their starting point.

That principle has shaped AllKidsCan from the beginning and it continues to shape what we do today.
