The club caters for all levels of fitness and ability: the classes are suitable for both men and women, and beginners are always welcome! The club is committed to creating a safe and relaxed environment in which everyone can practice and enjoy martial arts, and get a chance to socialise with new people. The class training is all about developing your fitness, flexibility, stamina as well as educat
ing you in the martial art forms. All classes are taught by experience and qualified instructors. OUR TRAINING FORMAT
We teach a form of Thai Kickboxing which utilises a varied mixed of training exercises; the standard being warming up and down, stretching, martial arts techniques and pad work. All these elements will help naturally develop your strength, fitness and confidence. At ZTKC, excellence in martial arts, fitness and self-defence is a priority within the training curriculum. Muay Thai is referred to as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai (“nak muay”) thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight “points of contact,” as opposed to “two points” (fists) in Western boxing and “four points” (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.
