On the 25th and 26th July, several of our vaulters travelled to Bedford to take part in the England Athletics Age Group National Championships, and what a weekend it was!

Congratulations go to Milo, for securing the gold medal in the under15/16 men's competition, with a PB vault of 4.41m 🥇; as well as to Luca, who came 5th in the same competition (3.75m). Also, to Flo, who claimed the silver medal in the under15/16 women's competition, with her vault of 3.40m 🥈; as well as to Sylvie, who came 5th (3.20m); Suzie (photographed), who came 7th (3.00m); and Jess D, who came 10th (2.85m PB), in the same competition. And also, not forgetting Beth B, who came 4th in the Under 17/18 women's competition (2.95).

An amazing achievement for them all, for qualifying for this National event. We are always so proud of you all.

What an evening at Lewes Athletics Track. 🌇

Monday 6 July was our SPVG internal friendly for U12s and U14s. Beautiful sunny conditions, brilliant atmosphere and top performances all round.

26 vaulters took part. 14 walked away with a PB — that's over half the field. So many others had a go at their PB height too.

Huge well done to every single athlete who competed. And thanks to all the coaches. What a club! 💛💙
