The York & Ainsty North branch was established in 1950 and is part of The Pony Club Area 3. In 1995 Barbara Birchall became DC. Members from 5 to 21 years old and associates to 25 take part in all club activities. The emphasis is correct horsemanship, fun, responsibility and friendship. Teams are entered in most disciplines. Rallies are held on farm/parkland in various locations between Knaresborough and York. A Main & Mini camp, a Summer and Christmas show, a Fun day and Egg hunt are held annually, as well as formal rallies and advanced training. The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding. There are more than 43,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain, belonging to either a Branch or a Centre - there are more than 350 of each of these. Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions. Internationally The Pony Club has a membership of over 110,000 across 18 countries, making it the largest association of riders in the world. Most British equestrian medal winners at The Olympics and World Championships have been Members of The Pony Club.

🥇 Massive congratulations to Arabella, Sophie and Lucy who not only placed 10th overall out of 44 teams in the Junior Horse and Pony Care championships today but also WON the newcomer award! This was a new category for teams from branches and centres who had not qualified at this level within the previous 5 years

🥈 Lucy was also awarded second overall individual!

What a day 🤩 so much hard work and training has gone into preparing for this and we could not be more proud! Well done girls Pony Club - Horsemanship
