The University of Sussex Equestrian Society includes all equestrian related activities from jumping and dressage lessons, to hacks and polo.

You are welcome to join whatever your riding experience! We also have a competition team in the BUCS league. Welcome to the official University of Sussex Equestrian Society page. Here we post updates about our society's activities, including socials! This page is for both polo and regular riders to join, regardless of your riding level.

🐴💙BUCS TRYOUTS 2026/27! 💙🐴
We’re now taking applications for BUCS tryouts! 🏆
If you’re interested, fill out the application form linked in our bio and tell us a little about yourself, you’re riding experience and send us some videos of your riding.
📹Video upload not working? Don’t worry! Still submit your completed application form and send your riding videos to us via Instagram DM- include your name so we can match them to your application!
Successful candidates will be contacted with an invitation to trials on Wednesday 7th October🐎
More information about timings and how to get to the stables will be posted closer to the time.

We’ve absolutely loved competing this year and couldn’t be prouder of everything our team has achieved! 🏆✨ Three competitions, three incredible performances and three 2nd places! 🥈🥈🥈

A huge thank you to everyone who has represented Sussex this year, and to our amazing horses, supporters and coaches for making it such a special season. 🤍
